We live in a small town in southeast Iowa and spend a lot of time in Graveyards and Cemeteries taking pictures, taking notes, just piecing the families together.|
Some of these Cemeteries are so old that there are not any other records of the people resting there. When these cemeteries go...so does that person's existence!
We would like to thank all of you for your contributions to the preservation of these cemeteries.
The peace and serenity found in these old cemeteries is our reward!
If there is a memorial we have added, that is not in our family, we will consider a transfer of the memorial to you.
Please use the Edit tab,(upper right hand corner of the memorial) Please do this on every memorial that you want transferred or a correction on and please include your ID number.
Thank You, Mo & Dave

|deanna french||FAG PHOTO'S Henry County|
Good afternoon, I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many soldiers/sailors that had ties to Vermont. I have noticed that you have contributed several photo's to a few of such soldiers memorial pages in Henry County. There may be others I haven't discovered yet. I am asking you if I may use these photo's on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org) Of course, you would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration,
|Val||Glenn Thompson # 77803763 James A Thompson # 77803864|
I am a researcher for a historical society in Phoenix Arizona,and I believe that I have the mother and wife of these two individuals buried in one of our pioneer cemeteries. I wanted to be extra sure they were related. Are Glenn and James your relatives?

Hello, I am editor of the Illinois Mennonite Heritage Quarterly. I am doing an article on my Miller family line and am wondering if i could have your permission to reprint a picture of the markers of Amasa and Katie R. Miller as well as that of his first wife, Katie N. Miller. I think our family and the IMHGS membership would appreciate seeing these. Thank you for the consideration.

Thanks Wade Swancey
|Linda||Ronald & Bertha Hart|
I am looking to see if you can tell me if the Larry G. Hart buried in Oakland Mills Cemetery is the son of Ronald & Bertha. Was delighted to find Ronald & Bertha - they have been missed placed as to the wrong state. Ronald was born in KY and I think someone just thought he was buried there. But alas there is no Oakland Mills Cemetery in KY. Find A Grave has led me to this Iowa cemetery and I am most grateful.
Ronald is distantly related to me, but as I update the family records for an upcoming reunion I found the cemetery error. Ronald does have a child listed only as Larry Hart in our record, thus my question if you know if they are related. Or can you tell me if the markers are grouped together. I see Larry G, Regina and Kathi memorials would indicate that this is also a family.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Linda at email@example.com Thanks!
