I am taking a break from Find a Grave because of personal family matters. I will try to stop on to do requests when I can. Thank you to all who have visited my family. Your memorial flowers and tokens have touched my heart. I will try to visit your family as much as can find the time to do so.

I have been interested in genealogy since around 1998. I enjoy finding new information on family members. There seems to be be always another branch to research. I enjoy walking in the peaceful cemeteries as we seek for a long lost relative. If I have put a memorial on this website, I probably have photographed that cemetery. It is hard trying to find enough time in the day to put them all on here. So please request them and I will work on those names first. Currently I am working on Hamlin and Deuel Counties in South Dakota, but also have done a few in Brookings, Codington and Kingsbury Counties.

If I have any errors please let me know and I will correct it. For corrections, family links and transfers please use the edit button, because then it sends me a link to the page. I am willing to transfer family members upon request, if that such person is not related to any of my family.

The family names that I am researching are:
Brooks, Whitlock, Walker, Paulson, Lien, Baxter, Schaefer, Roeder, Papcke, Polzin, Nystrom, Norgaard, Simonson, Richards, Long, Burrows, Walsh and Dellamater / Delemarter, Kreger, Lenning, Buchholz.

A thank you for those family members who have helped me take photos of memorials. My Sister-in-law Marceen who did all of Lakewood Cemetery in Waubay, Bergen Cemetery in Codington County, and Mazeppa Cemetery in Grant County. She also helped with Lakeview in Clear Lake. A Huge Thank you to my Sister, Lynne Shada who has helped with many of the cemeteries, You traveled with me to many states, walked cemeteries with me, photographed stones, researched at many locations with me, also you were my typist. You typed so many family stories, obituaries and such. Lynne, you are in our thoughts and hearts, we miss you greatly. Please stop and leave her a flower if you get the time.

I try to leave memorial flowers on all my family members and others for the date of birth and death. It seems to leave a personal touch to each individual. If you visit any of my relatives please leave a flower for them.
