I was raised by my great grandmother and aunt who's father was a surgeon in the civil war, and I have photos & clothes of G Grandma & G Grandpa doing revolutionary war re-enactments!! There are letters (1830-1960s), and documents from the early 1800s, memoirs, books on family history, photos, carvings, furniture, paintings by family, linens, clothes, dishes, toys, ...my home is a museum with no room for a sofa...I have discovered histories of families I am not related to... the letters start from my family meeting in a stage coach to riding the trains, to seeing their first "auto car" and "aeroplane" and they go through great plagues, depressions and wars... I am glad to share all of these memories....
