Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am very actively pursuing family information. I maintain an tree, and my brother and I have family photo sites on Smug Mug, where we display the photos we get from family members and kind souls who share on these programs in hopes of preserving and sharing them with all families who need them. It occurred to me when going through my mother and grandmother's huge trunks full of photos that it was sad for one family to have all those treasures and not share. And, so began my many, many hours of scanning and sharing photos and information.

I also enjoy visiting other memorials and cemetaries and adding flowers, pictures or data to memorials that have no information, or very little. My husband and I walk through cemetaries quite often, and find the headstones so interesting. I love adding to the history of these people, and it grieves me to find one that says "unknown" on a headstone. Genealogy has become a true passion.

My lines are Duncan, Mather, Dodson, Smith, Moore, Bullion, Curtis, Whitehead, Barron, Reid, and you know how that goes - many more! I am happy to share information and photos with those seeking help, and so very much appreciate all that is shared with me.

I live in the Hill Country of Texas, am married, and enjoying retirement. I am a native Texan, and my Ancestors all go back many generations in Texas.

Please feel free to use my information and any photos I have posted. I do not understand the fuss about using someone's photos. If they are sacred and personal, then don't post them, is my philosophy. We are all here to help one another and share for this and future generations. So many photos get lost in fires, animals getting into boxes, etc., so why keep them private? After we are all gone, our grandchildren and gr-grandchildren will someday be searching for images and information, and if I took it with me, they would be left at a loss. There are so many members in my family who suffered fires, floods, tornados, and other losses. But, at one time they DID have a photo of "Great Uncle John", however, now due to some unforseen circumstance, it's lost forever..... Think about it.

God bless and and Happy Trails..

Valda Horton Davis #155709594
Hi- I took a photo of the Gilbert & Valda Davis' headstone and added memorial pages for them. Valda's parents were Lonny & Amelia Horton. Just letting you know that I linked Valda to her parents. What a beautiful, large family they were. If you would like transfer, let me know.

Issac Thomas Moreland
Hi! I wanted to see if I could compare information with you on Issac Thomas Moreland. I am a Moreland Descendent and I was working on his parents in my Ancestry tree today. I was verifying other Ancestry research when I stumbled upon his Death Certificate. It lists his place of birth as Virginia. Checking all available census records for Texas...also list his birth place as Virginia. There lies the issue. There is another Issac T Moreland, son of William Moreland...born in Virginia in 1851. I believe that is man is not, in fact, the son of Benjamin Troup Moreland and Mary Matilda Buttrell. Both Benjamin and Mary were born in Georgia and so were all of their children. Their son was a bit of a drunk based on letters from his cousin. I haven't found him yet but do not believe that he went to Texas. If you have different information please share! Thank you for all the hard work I have seen that you have completed! What a Blessing you are!

RE: Conia F. Burkes
Her parents were Maude Alice Roberts
and Thomas Jake Burkes.

I've seen Maude - misspelled as Maudie several times. Thomas Jake is sometimes misspelled as Thomas Jacob. He never used his first name but sometimes signed his name as TJ Burkes which was confusing because his son was always called TJ and some of his legal stuff is as TJ and some as Thomas Jake Burkes Jr. Dad changed his name legally to Thomas J Burkes Jr. (using only the middle letter. He went by the name of Tom as an adult and TJ by his family.

I found the spelling of Maude and Jake on the Amendment to certificate of Burth - Texas Dept of Health for --- Burks - now named Clara Bell Burkes with an affidavit of Maude A. Burkes on 12/15/1967. That country was not too accurate on Birth Certificates. They are burried at the Mt. Olive cemetary.

Good Luck

D L Reynolds
Hi Lynda, What wonderful photos you have posted to the Reynolds memorials! I love old pictures. I transferred D L to you along with one other Reynolds, Ollie Wall, that I ha posted. I am unrelated and have no extra information. It appears you are related or have a lot of family info, so I thought it would be a good thing for you to have management.

God Bless,
