Anna and Josef Hanig
Thank you for posting the images of Anna's and Josef's gravestones. They are my husband's grandaunt and granduncle. I have seen the stones on JewishData, but the cemetery was not actually named, just the Monsey, NY location. I know there to be more than one cemetery in that town which is why I did not enter one.

If I am correct in assuming that since you took the pictures yourself, you have to be right in suggesting the name of the cemetery in Spring Valley. I much appreciate your having done this.

My best,

RE: check this out
Hi Ginny,
I have taken a number of requested photos at a particular cemetery, the cemetery person also put in a great deal of time to help me locate these graves. I am in the process of fulfilling these requests and there are already photos on the page. Why are the requests still active? Some of these photos are dated several years ago. thanks for your time.

Frank E. Campbell
Hello. Would you be able to reposition the photos for Frank E. Campbell so his grave photo appears second in line instead of having to go into the photo list? Thank you.

RE: check this out
Thanks Ginny, A good Article. It reminded me of a question that I have. Can I just photograph graves and put them up or do I need a request? Also, Do I need to notify the cemetery that I am taking photos?

Hi Ginny,
I left an edit for my mother's DOB. Thank you for the correction. It was finding this site, through my brother, that I became interested in becoming a volunteer photographer!

New Edit System
Hi Ginny,

I agree, it takes some getting used to. But it is very convenient once you've mastered it.

If you want to look at edits you've either approved or declined, click on edits, thenlook at the line that says Display: Edits sent to me that I need to review. On the right side of that line is a drop down arrow. Click on it and it will give you several options, Edits sent to me that I approved, Edits sent to me that I declined, followed by a second group below starting with Edits I have sent to others which has the options Edits I have sent that are pending, Edits I have sent that were approved, and Edits I have sent that were declined. This way you can go through stuff after you've processed it, and see what's going on with edits you submitted on other people's memorials.

However, you still have to remember to go in and hit the process button at the bottom of the edits page to put them through. They default to Accept, so if they all look good just hit Process. If some of them don't look right you can change them to Ignore, and if some of them are flat out wrong you can change them to Decline and then hit Process

New Edit System
Hi Ginny,

The new edit system is really cool. They rolled it out last year and it is so much faster if you're maintaining a lot of memorials. It also stops people from making common mistakes with the relationship links, like putting in a memorial number for someone that doesn't exist, or trying to link them as their own parent.
