Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm 37 from Tampa, FL. I currently live in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee (outside of Knoxville).

I've been on Find A Grave for 13 years now. I don't remember how exactly I came across it, but I love this site. Everyone in my family has been cremated so we don't have anywhere to visit so to speak. It's nice to be able to log on & let the whole family, no matter where they live, visit memorials.

So far, I've only added my family with the exception of one person. He was a local sportscaster with great humor & wit that I admired. I was truly saddened when he passed away.

Anyway, like I said earlier, I live in Strawberry Plains,TN now & there are a lot of cemeteries around here that have some old graves. I love to go through & read the info on the headstones. When I was a kid, my step dad took me to a lot of famous graves. No matter what state we went to, we always had to go to cemeteries. Seems I spent quite a bit of time there, lol. It creeped me out at the time, but I think it's where my interest started.

John Vercher
Andrea,

I'm wondering if the memorial for John Vercher would be the same John Vercher I knew in elementary school in Clearwater, Florida.

The john I know had a brother, I believe jason. John was very intelligent, loved computers, and wouldn't surprise me if that would have been a career choice. We spent hours literally reprogramming video games in order to cheat and win. That was crazy stuff back then on commodore 64 computers. Home video games were a new frontier let alone messing with the code. I remember John's dad worked for Sperry computers (late 70's early 80's).

Anyway if this sounds like the John then at least I will know. Anyway I just found it so strange I couldn't locate him with the advent of facebook and such. When I came across this memorial I thought the worst.
Let me know,
Thanks
Matt

Thank you...
...for honoring Harvey Milk today. If you have time, could you please leave something nice for Harvey's boyfriend, Scott Smith, and George Moscone as well? They could use a few more flowers.
