Bio and Links
Bio Photo Find A Grave is a wonderful resource, and I am so happy to have "found" this website. I have been doing family history research on and off since 1970. It is time consuming, as well as a labor of love, and extremely rewarding. Now that I have retired, I am able to spend more time on my favorite hobby.

I am researching these names (ancestors and descendants):
In TN and NC: Sharp/Sharpe, Cooper, Welch, Hatmaker, Duke, Hafford, Tinsley, Tucker, Farbridge, Burton, Mosier, Jarnagan/Jarnagon/possibly Jernigan.

In VA and GA: Watson, Halburt, Burdyne.

In Glamorgan, Wales, UK: Greenberry or Green Berry Hill.

In Kent, UK: John Stevens.

In UK: Thomas Fay/Faye; Margaret Maiter/Maher/Maier, Ellen Lynch, David Lynch, Bolling.

In NY: William Henry Stevens & Maggie/Mary/Mae Fay(e).

In Arkansas: Garrett, Wilson, Calhoun, Farbridge, Hamilton, Hafford.

In VA, GA & FL: Hill, Callahan, Cain, Bradford, Power, Sims, Caraway/Carraway/Cariway, Grisham/Gresham/Grissom.

In VA and OH: Moon.

In GA, AL, FL, TX and OK: Zellner.

I manage the memorial sites for several family members and ancestors, as well as some very dear family friends.

A special place in my heart is held for the FAG memorial # 26414618, that of my beloved daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Hafford .
If you visit her memorial, please leave a remembrance so I will know you have visited.

Here is a wonderful quote by a man I had the pleasure of hearing in person when I was a university student many moons ago: "I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love." Leo F. Buscaglia

I love my FAG friends, and have met some wonderful people associated with this website. I enjoy getting emails from fellow FAG members and visitors. You may want to leave a token at a memorial created in tribute to Fallen Gravers. These people have passed on, but were a part of our group when they were living.

One of my favorite things to do is leave flowers for infants, children or young adults who have been taken from us too soon. It makes me feel sad when I see a memorial that has been created and no one has left a flower for that person. I feel everyone should have a flower at their memorial site to show that someone remembers them.

If you see a memorial for one of your family members that I have created, please let me know how you are related to that person. I will happily transfer them to you, unless they are also a relative of mine. I feel the memorials should be with loved ones (family) whenever possible. Please use the Edit tab on the memorial for that relative to request a transfer.
I take great care with the memorials I create, and I like to include as much information as I have available. If you have a picture, information to add, or a correction, please let me know via the Edit tab. (Thanks.) I feel the memorials are not only a lasting tribute to the person, but they are a very valuale resource for fellow genealogists and family historians.

Edwina Bunting PeavyMemorial# 85597116
Hi, I sent you so information on Mrs Edwina as we grow up calling her. I would like to request you consider transfering her memorial over to my care. I am not a family member but her daughters, Roumelle and Princess, went to Madison High School with my mother Virleen Henry Dixon and we grew up with Mrs Edwina's granddaughters. I still visit Princess when I go to Madison. If you can not transfer I fully understand. I am hoping to get back to Madison for a visit before Nov and plan getting a photo of Mrs Edwina, her daughter, Roumelle, and the grandson of Roumelle's headstones as they all 3 are in the same family plot. Thank You, Saundra Dowling

Hope all is well. You can ignore all the additional info for Bios that I have been sending. I am adding them under photos. I know I sent a lot so you can just delete them. I appreciate all you have done.
Thanks a million and thanks for all your work. I have been sending info via the Edits Tab on many and those of course will have to be accepted by you. Bring on sweater weather..please!

RE: Carroll Horton Blalock
Re: Carroll Stapler Blalock and wife Clara Horton.

If you need further proof, check the 1935 Florida Census for Madison County, Florida. It lists Carroll Blalock, wife Clara, sons Carroll,Jr,; Clarence and daughter Irene.

RE: Carroll Horton Blalock
Carroll Stapler Blalock is the husband of Clara Horton. The maiden name Horton should be removed from the memorial to clear up the confusion. The Masonic symbol on the headstone also signifies that Carroll is a male. Carroll S. Blalock’s father is Dr. Alonzo Lashbrook Blalock, Find A Grave 85650770; his mother is Emma Aline Jelks Find A Grave 85650799.
Clara Horton is reportedly buried in Oakridge Cemetery, Madison, Florida but no memorial is listed. Her parents are William Lowery Horton, Find A Grave 81680019. His obituary is posted on the memorial and shows his daughters as Mrs. Carroll S. Blalock (which indicates she is married to Carroll S. Blalock), and Misses Irene and Evelyn Horton.
Her mother is Vannie Glass Horton, Find A Grave 81680057.
Hope this clears this up and the edits will be processed.

Hi Gwen, Hope you are having a wonderful family time. All these I am sending can be done at your leisure. I know you will take care of them in your free time. What I have done is created a file in my gmail acct and named it Find A Grave. I move all Find A Grave correspondence into it and work from there. That way my regular email acct is not full of Find A Grave items. You might already have a great system, just thought I would share. If it takes you months to get to them, no worries.

RE: April Millsap
Hi again,

Yes, you're absolutely right! I've always taught my boys to "treat others how you would to be treated." I love this site, it's a wonderful thing, and to be honest, I've never been in contact with anyone rude or mean, but then again, I don't get too involved,if you know what I mean. If someone is kind enough to fulfill a photo request for me, I always ask if I can use their photo on There hasn't been one that have said no.

You did have a bit more info on April, perhaps you could ask the other member to edit her memorial and add her middle name. She was also cremated.

Thank you, again! :)
