To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....

First, I don't link to Burial Unknown Site Memorials as BU shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site. When you made a BU, you have a chance of losing the memorial to the member who "Find A Grave" in the cemetery.

Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice. Long-time hard working-members, who are busy in surveying cemeteries and taking grave photos impress me more than someone who is collecting others' memorials for their personal goal or waiting for someone to find the burial sites for their numerous memorials made with an "unknown burial site".

Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.

You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.

Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.

Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.

Remember to check on the Discussion Forums here. They are very newsy, helpful and interesting!

I leave nasty postings on my profile page so others can see just how rude and stupid people can be to others. Most read and laugh. :)

RE: Find A Grave memorial for Cecelia Simpson
Not sure how you came up with these conclusions, but I respectively disagree with about all of them.
I really do not understand your logic or reasoning, so expect we should end this discussion before I am labeled as one of the "rude and stupid people" you mentioned in your profile

RE: Find A Grave memorial for Cecelia Simpson
Your reply may (??) answer why the prefix was originally added, but it does not answer my question. Which is: If the information is available, why should "Mrs" not be added to a Find A Grave memorial?
Added this Prefix provides three important pieces of information 1) The memorial is for a female, 2) She was married, and 3) most likely the surname listed is a married name, not a maiden name.

Find A Grave memorial for Cecelia Simpson
Would appreciate receiving information on bases or source on why you say:
"The title of "Mrs" is used when it is on the tombstone"
Why can it not be included on Find A Grave memorial if there is another source and is not on the tombstone??

RE: Duplicated memorials...
Linda, if you sent a message to me in August, why am I getting a notification in October? I went through all my OLD MAIL, and I don't have a message from you. I find it a bit strange that I would have a duplicate memorial, because I do a search before I add new memorials to safeguard against adding duplicates. I wish I knew which memorial(s) you are referencing. It's my hope you do a follow-up on my memorials before you take any permanent action. I believe in respecting other peoples family memorials. Thanks you...

RE: Duplicated memorials...
Hi Linda, I don't have a message from you, and I can't explain why I don't have it. I don't have a problem correcting any memorials I manage. If you don't mind, please send me the memorial number(s) again, and I will take care of them.

Thanks. If you recall what has been deleted on my memorials please let me know.

After you notified me, I changed my email address and password. Perhaps someone had gotten in that way, as I did have my old email address hacked not too long ago.
