I fell into gravehunting naturally, having been into doing my family genealogy since high school. I had been seeking out the graves of my ancestors, and quite by accident, stumbled onto the grave of a Hollywood celebrity nearby. In my spare time, I love researching old Los Angeles, with particular interest in architecture, and love spending time with my wife and two teenaged children.|
I realize that many of the memorials I have created are for prominent personalities. I have not endeavored to write the biographies that they deserve, but I would welcome submissions to enhance the entries.

|Thomas Higgerson||Thank you|
Thank you for sending to me the death certificate of Everett Wallace Thaxter. It filled in many blanks in my family record. Thanks again. By the way, are you any relation to Bruce Groll of Carterville, Illinois?
|Ron Cockrell||Leslie Lynch King Sr.|
Scott -- Good job on this entry. Your second paragraph does not say what you intended. It should read" "Gerald Rudolf Ford Sr. was the adopted father of President Ford. Leslie Lynch King was President Fordís biological father and his mother's first husband."

Sorry to hear he went missing on you. Hopefully he will show up somewhere.
The situations I find interesting are where one spouse gets buried in Forest Lawn Glendale and another one ends up in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. I have seen that on a number of occasions. I think sometimes it's because the person remarries and the new spouse is creeped out by the thought of them all being buried together next to the old spouse. I suspect on other occasions they didn't end up buying enough spaces and when the time came there was no room next to the original spouse in the original cemetery (usually Glendale).

I put through the edits you submitted on her. I noticed you added her husband Walter, he is not in the Forest Lawn website, did you talk to the cemetery office and verify he is actually there?
|Thomas Higgerson||Martha Thaxter|
Thank you for informing me of the burial site of Martha Barrow Thaxter. I have made the correction to her memorial, and have requested a photo of the grave marker. Thanks again!

Thank you for the information. I've added it to his memorial.

Anna Hurley Philips died 24 May, 1963. At the time of her death, she was living at her daughter's home in Brentwood, CA. As she was a Catholic, she may not have been buried at Forest Lawn, however, as Mary's husband, Kenneth MacKenna had died 15 Jan 1962 and was cremated and ashes placed in the crypt at Forest Lawn, it may be she was buried there, as well. She was born in New Haven, and may have been bureid there. Let me know, when you have a chance, what you find...if anything. Thanks!

Wanted to thank you for the photograph of the crypt for Mary Philips and Kenneth MacKenna. While recording this, did you happen upon a crypt for Mary's mother, Anna Philips?
