I'm from Austin, Texas (formerly a native of Chicago, Illinois). Just taking it easy with college and usually finding some time to myself on FindaGrave, when I'm not busy with school assignments, etc. I also like the U.S. Marine Corps and go to old high school football games to boot. I served 6 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and later did some landscaping work. I'm also been with my girlfriend, Zoe Kazan for the last 8 years and we've lived together in Austin together.|
I'm also a staunch fan of the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bulls and also a fan of the Louisiana State Tigers Football Team, Florida State Seminoles Football Team and the Alabama Women's Gymnastics Team including the Stanford Women's Gymnastics Team.

Try calling Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, MD at (301) 568-8410. The reason I suggest this is I found the following among the numerous obits:
"Mr. Pendleton's body will be cremated and his ashes buried at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery during a yet-unscheduled private interment, Civil Rights Commission spokesman John Eastman said."
"Cremation was held after the service, and inurnment will be in his parents' grave at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Washington, D.C."
But I do not believe that there is a Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Washington, D.C. There is one in nearby Maryland and this is what they say about their cemetery:
"Established in 1929, Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, MD has rolling hills lined with beautiful trees, and is the resting place of many prestigious African Americans, some born as long ago as 1863. Lincoln memorial Cemetery offers traditional ground burials, cremation, mausoleums, and lawn crypts."
And he certainly is prestigious.

I tried searching too but no luck. He's not listed on the NGL or at Arlington National Cemetery. And Ancestry.com was of no help. Bob Spalding (#47756429) does some research on veterans, this might be something he can help with. The other way I know is to call the prominent cemeteries in San Diego (El Camino, Greenwood, Mt Hope, Glen Abbey) and see if they can help. Best of luck.

Hi- Noticed your new entry. There's no listing for him at Miramar - do you have plot information? Thanks

Thank you for the burial information. I looked locally but could not find an obituary or any details about his death.

No. Not at this time. Anytime I find the info, I always submit it so the memorial can be updated.
