Bio Photo Hello, I am just another genealogy gal that enjoys helping others when possible.
If there is EVER any information I am wrong with, PLEASE email me and I will change it.
My main family lines are Tolbert and Cook with their many branches.

If you wish a memorial to be transferred to you, TELL ME HOW YOU ARE RELATED to the person and I will definately consider transferring it. Of course, it all depends on if/how I might be related also. Even if you are not related, I will consider transferring if they are not in my direct tree. Once I transfer, you may do as you wish with the memorial.

Many of the stones that I photograph are not related to me at all. I just try to add as many as I can for someone else to find their relatives on findagrave. So please ask for the transfers if you want them.

Joseph Thomas
Hi,

I got your note of Joseph Thomas and since you are related and I am not, I have transferred his memorial to you to maintain. Best regards.

RE: Rachel Wean Ritchie
Hi Rachel. I apologize for not being available to reply. I just saw your message today. It is a good question. I will look at what it is I said and back track to find where I got it. I had just begun to look into that history for a Wean friend of mine and I could easily have made a mistake. Thanks and I’ll let you know what I find. Also, I will try to set up my profile to alert me when I get messages so this won’t happen again.

You are welcome. As you see, the headstone is broken and in bad shape. There is another one right next to it just like it but not legible. I might be able to do a rubbing on it. Let me know if you want to explore that one further. Jamye

Henry D. Brown
make that: the father would have been 67. If his mother was Lura she would have been 47, and died a few weeks after the birth.

Henry D. Brown
I notice that you have posted a Henry D. Brown and wife Mary Nancy "Nannie" Dugan, with son Henry D. Brown. When I click on the son, it says his parents were Henry D. Brown and Lura Nugent. Henry junior would have been born when his mother was 65 years old. Can you sort this out for me? Thanks!

More on Ovid McCracken
Hi,

for his Ovid McCracken's bio if you would like to add it:

From Fort Knox Cemeteries by Sam McDowell (1973):

"Ovid's father was Cyrus who was born in Orange County, Ireland. He was a Revolutionary War soldier and a cofounder of Leestown, Kentucky. He had three brothers, William and Isaac, who were killed by Indians at Blue Licks, and Seneca. Cyrus was killed by the Indians in 1795. Ovid and his brother Virgil were in the battle of the River Raisin in the War of 1812. Virgil was killed there. McCracken County, Kentucky, was named for Captain Virgil McCracken. Harrod's Station was a settlement about six miles south of Fort Harrod."
