My families that I research are, Burgess, Davis, Lowe, Starks, Whisenant, Elliott, Griggs, Dotson, Reece, Buchanan, McFalls, Myers, Woody and Bearden.

I've been doing research for more than 20 years. My mom helped me in libraries, cemeteries and the many stories I heard from her on our relatives. I think she enjoyed it, almost as much as I do. She has since past. Thanks Mom for all your help. I miss you being with me on this journey.

Trying to find more information
Hi. I am new to this site and I am trying to find out if this is the correct one. My best friend took his life in April of 2000 and his name is Kenneth Young, but he went by "Luke". I know he used to live in McDonough, GA. It's been 16 years and I am now ready to go visit. It's been a really hard journey and I would like the chance to say goodbye.

I contacted the local paper in Henry County and according to them and this website, he is buried in Fannin County, at Shelton Cemetery. However, when I went to look for it I couldn't find the cemetery anywhere.

The information shown on this site says the birth date is unknown. I have tried everything I can think of to try and track down his mother. I don't know if there is anything you can do to help, but if you can, that would be great. His mother's name is Judy Young.

Thank you,

Wall of Faces VWM Burgess
found the grave for William C Burgess Jr killed in Vietnam. We are all working on the wall of faces on the VWM.gov page. We need a picture for William C Burgess Jr, PFC 19498759
Im thinking you are a relative of sorts since I know Elijah is a very small town, or at least it was.
Is there a person who can provide a picture for the wall? here is a link so you can see what is going on..
http://www.vvmf.org/Wall-of-Faces/6798/WILLIAM-C-BURGESS-JR

The idea behind the project is that everyone sees a wall with names which is great. as time passes though we would like to have faces and any stories about the men who died serving our country so far away from home. Their likes, dislikes, anything and any picture, high school year book or picture fishing or in uniform .. to put a face on the memorial and give these names a life. They existed.
thank you for any help you can give. Marshia
