Bio and Links
Bio Photo I want all of my fellow Find A Gravers that I give my permission to copy any gravestones or family pictures from my Memorial's. I don't put Memorials, information and photo's in for the glory or recognition but to honor those who have gone before and for the families of these people.

This is to let everyone know I have never stolen any pictures from anyone and will not. There is a find a graver on here that has consistently tried to get me in trouble with FAG and is always adding negative messages. I don't know why she is doing this but other FAGers have had the same problems with her trying to police other's Memorials. I have requested that this Person not add anything to my Memorials.

Hi Marsha,

I'm not sure if I ever replied to your message. I would be honored to take over Nellie's page/memorial. She is my Great Aunt.

Old Billl
We are cousins ...old Bills Father and my GGG Grandfather were brothers. My part of the family remained in the COlumbus, NC area. It was part of Rutherford Co when Old Bill was born. Rutherford Co was divided and the Columbus area became Polk Co, NC Columbus is just off Interstate 26 and is between Spartanburg, SC and Asheville, NC

I transferred the memorial to you. No worries about duplicating. No offense taken. We all make errors. Unfortunately we have some internet trolls on here now that take great pleasure on finding our errors and chastising us for them.

Thanks,
Ron

Henry Edler #122940202
Hi,

I have been researching the Edler family and believe the info you have may not be correct. This is what I have found

Two Edler families
One listed in 1860 census (Bridgeport, warren, mo)
One listed in 1870 census (Charrette, warren, mo)

Both listed in 1880 census
- the Bridgeport Edler moved to big spring, Montgomery (in 1876/1880 Census)

- the Charrette Edler do not move (1880 Census)

Bridgeport/Big Spring Henry Edler has a birth-date
'9 JAN 1849' found on the emigration Germany Document also with family and father Charles F.W. Edler, who is also buried in the Edler cemetery

Family Unit is as described
father: Charles F. W. Edler #122939908
mother: Wilhelmine Brandt (not on findagrave)

sister: Amalia Edler Meyer #111825029
brother: Henry Edler #122940202
sister: Areka Edler Deeker #122940251
sister: Katherine Edler Westerhaus #37823822
brother: william Edler (not on findagrave)
sister: minnie Edler Page #11143497

Thanks

Cave Books
You can view the books at Amazon. "The Negro Kingdom: Three Generations, The Lost Colony" by Lloyd Barrow. And Black Communities of South Callaway County by Doris Handy. Please tell Carolyn Branch that If Barbara Huddleston does not not have them for sale, I will send them to the library. Barb knows me as Annie Jaech. Carolyn knows me as Pat Hardin.

RE: Hello
Reguarding lost memorials....I am furious, I got an email from this guy named Mike though Find A Grave his number is 47019839 he told me my grandfather was not in Fairview cemetery the line goes east and west and mine is south of it so he is in New Hope told me to change it . So I go inand he has already changed everything except the name of cememtery. His number is on there now. Now his wife has moved also and I do not have her any more he does.. I would have thought after the email I would have been able to go in and look figure it out and change it myself......but, he already has......How he did I do not know...still boiling mad

Cave Cemetery
First of all, I sent you Jess' memorial - I didn't realize he was married to a Byrd. The Cave/Williams family are first identified as close in 1738 (very likely before) & have slowly come across the country to Callaway & on to California. So I follow them.
About the Cave Cemetery. Minnie Gathright was black. Please change the flower on her memorial to something a black woman would appreciate.
You had a communication with someone about this cemetery. I think I entered it. There are two very fine books written by Dr. Clyde Barrow's brother (Mona Barrow Ferrugia's father) about the black community around Red Top. If the Library doesn't have them I'll send them money for purchase. They are fascinating.
