Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,I'm Phil(ippe) from Belgium (Flemish Part).
I like to visit cemeteries where famous people are buried and I also like the older tombstones. My favorite is the tombstone of William Wetmore Story, "the angel of grief" in the Protestant cemetery in Rome.(Find A Grave Memorial# 18029441)
I also like to visit military cemeteries.
If I can help someone to take a picture of a grave, please let me know.(if possible in Belgium)

William Wetmore Story was an Artist. By the time he devoted his energies to sculpting he already had a successful law practice and had published poetry, essays, and the papers of his father, Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story. One of his finest pieces of sculpture is "Angel Of Grief," the tomb of his wife Emelyn. Others are "Cleopatra," "Semiramis," "Libyan Sibil," "Sardanapalus," "Judith," "Delilah," and "Jerusalem Desolate." Among his writings are "Life and Letters of Joseph Story," "Roba di Roma," and "Proportions of the Human Figure." (bio by: MC)

RE: Private Albert John Leek
Thank you so very much for photographing the tombstone of Albert John Leek. He is my husband's uncle who died in WW1. Everyone is very excited to see it, as no one in the Leek family has been able to travel overseas to view it.

Thanks again.
