I've been doing my family's genealogy for over 30 years, and am grateful to all those who either helped directly or who have posted info in various places which has helped. I try to pay it forward so others can learn about our shared families.

I am researching, in western NC (and occasionally eastern TN along the NC-TN border): Wheeler, Honeycutt, Hensley, Hampton, Byrd, Silver, Ray, and other associated families.

And in the area where southwest GA, southeast AL, and north FL intersect: Hurst, Davis, Bozeman, Stewart, Swearingen, Mayo, Perry, and other associated families. Some of this research also extends a little further north and NE into GA, and also a little farther east into AL.

With a couple of exceptions, all the memorials I manage are indeed family members - so unless you are a child or grandchild of someone who is NOT one of my grands I prefer to retain management of the memorial. If you are that child or grandchild, of course I will turn them over to you - those who enter memorials on this site should not be proprietary about what is not theirs. (The exceptions are Luna & Robert Wiggins to whom I am not related in any way but who are interred in the private Davis Cemetery in GA - this is the burial site of my Davis ggg-grand and his 2nd wife and I didn't want to leave the Wigginses off the cemetery listing in case their descendants come looking for them. I do see that Elisha & Luticia's daughter Mary married a Wiggins so that may be the connection).

Please remember to "pay it forward" when you are asked for help - none of us genealogy researchers would make progress without either the work of others they have made available or without the direct help of other researchers.
