Bio

My adventure began about 25 years ago when the family stories just fascinated me so I was quickly bitten by the genealogy bug. It has been such an honor to be able to take photographs at the Veteran's Cemetery. My Father is there and that motivates me to reach out to all his fellow veterans. He was a huge part of AMVETS for many, many years as Exec. Director and past President State of Florida. AMVETS placed the Carillon in Florida National and it always seems to play while I'm there. After I finish taking my pictures Dad gets flowers. My Mom is also actively involved in Veteran's issues on a daily basis.

Through FindAGrave I've been able to find my great and great-great grandfathers in an unmarked grave in Virginia and have since ordered them a headstone after 96 years of not having one. Through a picture posting on here by a fabulous volunteer, I found my great-grandmother's headstone in Maryland sinking about 3/4 the way into the ground and just had it lifted and restored. Thank you volunteers!!! You help us "bond" to those we never had a chance to meet and make us feel closer to those we knew.

It's warmed my heart in the stories many of you have told me when I've taken a picture you've requested. I fight the heat, daily Florida rain storms, and still say "excuse me" as I walk over someone's plot, but everyone has a story and I do my best to get that for you. Feel free to use the pictures I take anyway you want to. Also, please use the edit key for any tranfer requests. Everyone on my page are family members, but if you see a memorial I've created or manage and you are more closely related then I am I would be more than happy to transfer.
