Bio Photo Taphophilia: a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries.

I am in the process of photo-documenting Sts. Peter & Paul cemetery in St. Louis. If you are aware of errors in any of my entries, please let me know. PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" LINKS AND PROVIDE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER (located next to your name on your member page) if requesting a transfer.

PLEASE NOTE: Because I receive a lot of email, I typically do not reply when sent an edit - just check back in a couple days and you should see it. I usually make edits within a couple days. If it has been over a week, please resend as I may not have received it.

In addition to adding my family, I enter other graves. I am always happy to transfer a grave to a family member, or to update the grave as requested.

Families I am researching for my family include Mueth, Heidenfelder, Bockius, Buehler, Danneman, Frank/Franck, Freymyer, Meurer and Zieger--primarily found in the U.S. in St. Louis and Southern Illinois.

On my husband's side, I am researching Torrence, Findley, Watt, Comstock, Peterson, Norton, Brown, Bieth, Sentman, Ritchie and Sixbury--from all over the Northeast.

My great-grandmother was a Danneman. Just curious, how far back have you been able to trace that line?

RE: Mary Tretter 47780758
Thank you :-)
Greatly appreciated. I'm going to see if Mary's granddaughter is interested in knowing about Find A Grave. She lives in Arnold, MO.
Also there is a Josephine Tretter listed in Mt. Olive and I believe that she is the daughter who is missing per census and that family states was an infant birth, # 47780756

Still have to prove it, but if you'd like to transfer her, that would be fine, too.

Hello Katie,
I am writing to see if you are related to the Tretters. IF so, then I'd like to let you know that Mary here was my gr aunt. My paternal grandmother's younger sister.
I have more info on the family if you are interested and would like to share.
I also know some Mueths in Millstadt, IL

RE: Franz Langer
Franz Langer's wife is also listed as being buried at Sts. Peter& Pauls according to her MO death certificate. I would think that they are buried togetherin an unmarked grave there. That's too much in common. Franz was murdered by poachers according to the family story. He was either throw or fall in the Mississippi River. The body was recovered in St. Genvieve, MO. I doubt they had time to pick another cemetery. They lived in South St. Louis and were very religious. Marilyn R. Moore

Franz Langer
I received your email as to the final resting place of Franz Langer. I checked my sources in my genealogy tree. I have a copy of his death certificate with the burial permit and the cemetary that I have listed is correct. So my memorial is correct. You are wrong. How are you related?

RE: Andreas Schweis
Many thanks for the extra quick response, Katie! I suspected the grave was unmarked...

Lenkman family
Hello again, I found my GG Vera Shannon on your list and now I found her mother Mary Lenkman, stepfather Fred and the rest of the family. Ivan was Vera's son. May I have their memorials to maintain as well? Thanks

Vera Shannon

Hello! I am Vera's great Granddaughter. I just joined Find a Grave and found her page here. May I have the page to maintain? I believe she was buried here by mistake, as she was estranged from her family by the time of her death. There is an empty plot at her parents gravesite at the same cemetery.

Anna C. Kessler
I saw your Sts. Peter and Paul listing for Anna C. Kessler. My great great grandmother was Anna Catherine Kessler, but she lived in Moniteau County as far as I know. If the grave is unmarked, what gave you the information on name and year of death? I have so far had no luck in finding any death information for her.
