RE: Mary E
Thank you. I have contacted the person that provided the tombstone photo, and asked them to move the photo to my memorial, as soon as you see that it is gone you can delete your memorial. Thank you so much! Linda

Dear Concerned Find-A-Gave Contributors and visitors,

Regarding: DUPLICATE MEMORIALS in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia,Rockingham Va,Hardy WV and surrounding area.

A former large volume F-A-G Contributor had a dispute with Find-A-Grave staff and Deleted some 80% or more, of their contributed memorials, estimated to be about 40,000 or so. Thus causing the rest of us local Contributors, over the last year or more, to re-enter those family, friends and distant relatives we noted were missing.

Once F-A-G had decided to take positive action, they reloaded all the Deleted memorials from that former F-A-G Contributor, on Wednesday, 25feb2015. F-A-G staff, undoubtedly knew they would cause tens of thousands of Duplicates, and assigned their staffer, known as 'ProjectMgr' to work through their Merge process.

Please be patient and allow F-A-G to work through the entire group of Duplicate memorials.

Thank you.
E49 Created above Statement

PS
If anyone gets Find A Grave to transfer memorials cared for by ProjectMgr Just a heads up I dont delete any connected to ProjectMgr.I worked hard to replace all the memorials that had been deleted.Find A Grave choice to re-upload the Old Deleted memorials And we work free on this site.So if anyone wants our memorials Have Find A Grave Merge them or if you dont have a problem merging then more power to you.

I do want to thank anyone that has helped with my duplicants created after the major upload of old memorials formerly deleted.I really appreciate the help

RE: Ransom Smith
Mr ransom smith is buried in Clarence smith cemetery in Kentucky. He is in my memorials that I maintain if you would like to view it to see if we have any connection because I am completely lost on my Smith line at the moment. His parents were James Winton Smith & Delila Harlow Smith.

James Winton Smith's parents were Henry & Mary Smith, as far as I know at least

RE: William Bowman
I failed to ask you on my last message. Since you mentioned your distance to the family, would it bother you to go ahead and transfer the memorial to me?

And again I greatly thank you for the offer of your information dating back to Cornelius! I am very excited to see them. I have a book entitled Not for you, Lottie which was written about my great-grandmother, Charlotte Clementine (Hamilton) Bowman that is a very touching story of her upbringing. It doesn't go back that far, so I am sure I would enjoy what you have.

Have a great day and thank you again.

Proof of middle name Hiram
The scan of the death certificate of
Joseph Hiram Smith is now on my memorial for great Grandfather. it shows his middle name and proves who is parents were.
By the way James Elias Smith IV
was commonly called Elias due to his father, grandfather and great grandfather having the same name and so is parents are listed just as Elias Smith and Sarah Singleton.
Would you please correct the family tree on him in your family tree info on ancestry?
I'm very happy to have this come up so that his info can be corrected anywhere it needs to be.
I was told that his kidney problem came about after he was kicked in the kidney by a horse while he was putting on a horse shoe.
Thanks and I wonder what relationship he was to you and who you descended from down to you
--don't have you in my tree on ancestry.
Best Wishes

Joseph Hiram Smith
Sorry -you are absolutely wrong --great grandpa was Joseph Hiram Smith and that is definitely his grave. You have the wrong middle name for him or you have the wrong parents for your ancestor!!!
(didn't check to see if you are a relative or not)
Great Grandma Alice, his wife, signed his death certificate as the RN who nursed him as he was dying and she listed his parents as Sally Singleton and Elias James Smith on his death certificate - she knew his parents personally too. I have a copy of that death certificate.

I knew great grandma Alice very well -- she didn't die until I was in my teens and she told me about great grampa Joseph Hiram Smith and the family history and she knew her first husband's middle name and knew his parents.

Also my mother went out to the grave as a teenager and took the tombstone photo in black and white and I have since then visited the grave and got it in color. Blue cemetery next to Blue firehouse where he volunteered -see picture in fireman suit.

Please correct your ancestor tree before anyone picks up your wrong info whether it is the middle name or his parents that is wrong.
and of course his death certificate does show it as Joseph Hiram Smith. I will put a scanned copy of it on this memorial.
my grandmother is Ada, mother is Evelyn.

RE: William Bowman
I would love that! Would it be something you could email me? I have names dating back that far & had Cornelius and his wife Susannah listed, but not yet with a lot of information which I would love knowing more abut.

I live in TN and my Pappaw Ernest Murlin Bowman lived with us after Mammaw died in 1987. He was one of the families moved due to the TVA flooding to Maynardville, where several Bowmans still reside.

I would be interested in knowing our connection thru our relatives. Great to meet you!
