I am retired. I have been doing genealogical research on my family lines for about 20 years. For the past few years I've put my research on the "back burner" but now that I've retired, I'm back into it. I enjoy going through cemeteries and each headstone tells only a very short history of that person's life. I now get to do several of my favorite hobbies, all at the same time, history, genealogy research, photography, walking through cemeteries, and motorcycle riding.
Not all of the headstones I list are family lines. If you find a correction or have additional information, just let me know.
If you have any ATWELL'S and transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them, but I will not transfer any ATWELL'S.
In the future, please use the change buttons that FAG has provided. I do check these to see if they are correct, so if it seems to be in error, I will decline them.
I will not link unknown burials.

I've started putting G.P.S. locations on some memorials. The accuracy is supposed to be within 16 feet, so this should put you in the close proximity of the memorial. Not too bad for satellites 12,600 miles in space.

Lebia Lee
We realize the exact inscription is published from the burial plaque for "Lebia Lee."
However, S. S. Lee he reversed many of the letters but he made an outstanding effort! "Lebia Lee" was actually Ledia "Leady" Vickers Lee (1894-1928).
Additionally, our research shows Steven Lee's burial plaque should read Stephen Samuel Lee, 1874-1961 unless the incising reads differently. If possible, please publish the change. And, S. S. Lee's second wife was Leila "Lizzie" Johns Lee (1904-1986.

#51173933 Andrew V. McAllister
Please delete #51173933 Andrew V. McAllister from New Providence BC Cemetery in Houston Co., AL.
He is buried in Big Creek UMC Cemetery as you have him buried there, also. The McCallisters buried in New Providence spell their name with 2 Cs. They are all related but the ones in Big Creek spell their name with 1 c.

Hi Don,
I am trying to figure out if your parents were my parents friends for many years. My dad was Robert F. Tighe he died in 1967. If your dad was missing fingers from both hands then he and your mom were my brothers god-parents. My folks are also up at Holy Cross.
Thanks for your time.

Find a Grave - James A. Adams
I am writing in regards to a picture you posted with the marker at the grave of James A. Adams buried in Columbia Cemetery in Houston County, Alabama. This picture is A GAR Marker which is only for soldiers you served in the Union Army. I do not remember seeing this star shaped marker when I was last there. They were working on the markers at that time getting everything in order and cleaned up and I had the marker for James A. Adams repaired and placed back on the base. James A. Adams was definitely not a union soldier. See my bio on Find A Grave to see his military service history. This is a big ????.

Hazel T Cox Rooks #156475469
Don, the above profile is a duplication, an understandable one, however. Hazel was married to Charles H. Cox who I worked with in Marianna years ago, and Hazel was employed by me during the same period. She's listed on his grave memorial #18577377. On the memorial the name is Hazel T Cox and #18577397. Mr. Rooks is her 2nd husband, who is buried with his 1st wife in Tallahassee. The photo of the headstone (Charles & Hazel) was photographed before she died in 2015. I suspect her death date is now etched on the stone, as before it only included her birth date. Maybe you can contact the other profile manager & work out getting rid of the duplication. Thank you for your efforts. Steve Willcox
