|I am retired. I have been doing genealogical research on my family lines for about 20 years. For the past few years I've put my research on the "back burner" but now that I've retired, I'm back into it. I enjoy going through cemeteries and each headstone tells only a very short history of that person's life. I now get to do several of my favorite hobbies, all at the same time, history, genealogy research, photography, walking through cemeteries, and motorcycle riding. |
Not all of the headstones I list are family lines. If you find a correction or have additional information, just let me know.
If you have any ATWELL'S and transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them, but I will not transfer any ATWELL'S.
In the future, please use the change buttons that FAG has provided. I do check these to see if they are correct, so if it seems to be in error, I will decline them.
I will not link unknown burials.
DUE TO NUMEROUS FALSE EDITS AND MAKING EDITS FOR A CONTRIBUTOR AND THEN ANOTHER CONTRIBUTOR SAYING THAT EDIT WAS INCORRECT, VERIFICATION OF EDITS WILL BE REQUIRED OR THAT EDIT REQUEST WILL BE DENIED. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE AN EDIT BE PREPARED TO PROVE IT.

|Wendy Hoechstetter||Daniel Griggs Ingram|
Daniel's father was not Johnny Ingram; Johnny was actually his grandfather. His father's name is Timothy Ingram, who is still alive.
You've only posted part of the obituary; it reads in full as follows:
Daniel Griggs Ingram, a resident of Ashford, formerly of Abbeville, died Sunday, October 20, 2013. He was 35. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in the Griggs-Ingram Family Cemetery, near Abbeville, with Minister Bobby Gayton officiating. Hol-man-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in the sanctuary of the Watermark Church in Ashford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Watermark Church Building Fund, 103 Elmer Road, Ashford, AL. 36312. Daniel Ingram was a native of Abbeville and moved to Ashford with his family as a child. He was a 1996 graduate of Ashford High School. In 2001, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. Upon completion of Coast Guard Basic Training, Daniel was honored to serve as Chaplain's Assistant. After basic training, he served on the Cutter Kennebec in Virginia and completed firefighter training and was promoted to Petty Officer 3rd Class. He was later transferred to Coast Guard Station, Destin, Florida. After his Coast Guard duty, Daniel attended Troy University-Dothan. He formerly owned and operated Eagle Bonding Company in Auburn, and served as the manager of AAA Investigations and Recovery LLC in Abbeville. I don't recall what edit I asked for but think that it was to link him to the Find A Grave I created for his father so that his sister that was murdered as a young child in Ocoee, Florida would be connected to her family.
Please let me know what the incorrect information is, thanks
|Joanie Peavler||Moses S Kirkland|
You show Moses S Kirkland parents as Benjamin H. Kirkland and Sarah Kirkland. I have Benjamin H. Cyphering book that he wrote. The last pages gives the birth of all his children. Moses S. Kirkland does Not show on this list. In the the Mattthew Brackin and Benjamin H. (Hopping Ben) kirkland Families Book. No Moses S. Kirkland is listed as His child. Benjamin H. Kirkland's Father was Moses who married Susanna. How did you come about this information. I know in find a grave his parents are listed as Benjamin H.and Sarah Kirkland.I can not see how this is correct. Please Clarify. Thanks.
I don't know if you are interested but I thought you might like to know the Philipsburg Mail re-published Oscar's obituary from September 1915 in their "Archives" section (Sept 24, 2015). There is an inconsistency in that the paper states the obituary was printed Sept 24, 1915 but his stone says he died Sept 28. The only relatives mentioned in the obit are his brother, Daniel Atwell, who lived near Hall, MT and whom Oscar lived with. He came from Canada "a number of years ago" according to the obit. I would be happy to send you a transcription of the obit via my private email available on my profile it you are interested.

When I started to enter my sister in law's info on Find A Grave, I was surprised to see that you had entered it. I am asking to have it transferred to me so I can connect with the other members of Louise's family. I added and managed her parents.

|Sonya Woolaver||NOVA SCOTIA ATWELL|
I was at the funeral of my 1st paternal cousin, Avery Lawson Atwell, yesterday. Avery is the son of Clarence Leslie Atwell and my father's sister, Margaret Fraser Allen both of Nova Scotia Canada. I was entering his obituary on my Ancestry records and discovered information on Daniel Alfred Atwell & Rebecca Irene Enman connecting my Uncle Clarence to Daniel. Daniel is possibly brother-in-law of uncle (Percy) of husband (Clarence) of aunt (Margaret Allen). In your research of the Atwell family do you have any connections to Atwells in Nova Scotia. I would love to hear your thoughts at email@example.com.

Hello Don, I wonder if you would be so kind as to attach your photo of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Fadette, Geneva County, AL to the Bryant Scott memorial (87385328) and to his wife Francis (87385425). If I cut and paste, that would not give you the credit line which you deserve.
