Sinner Saved by the Grace of God. Calvinist by the Five Points. West Virginian by birth. Virginian by family history, choice, and the Grace of God. Physician Assistant/retired Navy MSC Officer, now working for the Army at Ft. Lee, VA.|
Thirty second degree Mason.
When writing or rewriting the bio of an especially noted person my goal is to create something a high schooler can use as the starting point for a term paper. Always ready to discuss Mr. Jefferson, I posted the bios of him, of his dear Patty and Patsy, and three of his biographers. Proud Southerner and member of the SCV (AP Hill Camp #167, Petersburg, VA). Actor/American Revolution (Patrick Henry's speech at St. John's Church, though I don't play Mr. Henry) interpreter. Member of the American Legion; Life Member of the NRA.
Professional memberships include the John Bell Hood Historical Society, the Edgar Allan Poe Foundation, the Army Society of Physician Assistants, and the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities (APVA)
My roots are in Southwestern Virginia, and southern West Virginia...family names would be Hufford (and the alternative spelling Huffard), Caldwell, Taylor, Ross, Bowman, and Farley, though I confess that my knowledge is limited.
Errors of fact, grammar, or spelling are 100% MINE. Please notify me when you catch them. Famous memorials are NOT 'first come first served' and people named "anonymous" will be ignored...unfortunately past events force me into a policy of deleting any unsolicited page sent to me.
My thanks to all who visit my dear Leila and our good friend Mo. God Bless you for your kindness!

Lovely memorials you have created for Leila and for Mo. I found them because I visited one of your Famous memorials (Judith Leyster). Keep up the good work. Your bios are outstanding.

Her son, Andrew Gold, a pop singer has also passed away. He is known for the song, "Oh What a Lonely Boy". I thought you might like to add his name to her memorial.
|gravely interested||Anna Groh Hoffman|
I am family to this lady. I descend from Johannes Groh. I never realized how deep my Great Grandmothers family roots were in America until I started researching my family. Her name was Bertha Groh Cole. Her Father, Jacob was the son of Solomon Groh. The family started in PA, moved to Canada, returned to the United States in 1881 in Michigan. My Grandmas family was Mennonite. She married my Great Grandpa Harry Cole in 1910 and he became a minister with the Wesleyan Methodist Church. They were married from 1910 to 1984 when she was called home to her Lord. Grandpa passed in 1989, missing his Berthe as he called her.
Thank you for the history you included.
Hello Mayra Alejandra was cremated in the Cementerio del Este which is located in Caraas, not La Guaira. See This;

|Richard Wagoner||RE: Wilma Lee Cooper|
No hurry-take your time. So sorry to hear of the illness of your daughter. I will be praying for her.
I am quite sure she is not buried there. I visit my parents grave very often and the ground has never been disturbed by Stoney. Thank you again.
|Richard Wagoner||Wilma Lee Cooper|
My name is Richard Wagoner from Nashville.
My mother and father are buried a few rows up from Stoney Cooper and where Wilma Lee was to be buried. She was not buried there next to Stoney. We have tried to find out where she is actually buried but have not. I knew them both and thought the world of them. They were kind and very talented and their daughter Carol Lee is one of the sweetest ladies ever. Any suggestions--thank you so very much.
Hello. Was Pat Dane's hometown Jacksonville or the Panhandle of Florida?

|Kitty Susca||RE: Adelina Patti Thankyou|
Well,I came to research her because my daughter is a singer,and I thought maybe there was a Youtube video of her singing so I put "Adele's voice" (because that is what I named her-my daughter) into the Youtube search box,and the videos that came up were so astonishing that I created a whole photo album in my Facebook comparing every angle,showing accesories,everyday pictures,performance pictures and basically matched so many side by sides that because I could move them around and compare facial expressions,etc.Pretty exact.Eye Opening,in fact.My daughter has always been bitchy,greedy,controlling,a tad loose,and innovative as prodigies are.So I began doing research and compared ALL those QUalities.I looked into blood relations and Patti was not listed as a relative.It became a hobby to compare experiences of the two people,and anything else I could find.So if you have Facebook,maybe I could friend you and you could see it. My daughter is 25 now.I havent done the math yet.But its some of the best fun I have ever had.!
|Kitty Susca||Adelina Patti Thankyou|
