Joseph Palin, LI National Cemetery
Thanks so much for taking a photo of Joseph Palin's gravestone. It confirmed that he is a lateral ancestor of mine (son of Joseph Palin, son of my g-g-grandfather), because it shows his date of birth as Sept 1886.
For some reason, the VA website grave locator for the Long Island Cemetery has his date of birth as Dec 9 1946, which makes no sense as he cannot have served in WWI if he was born in 1946. Do you know whom to contact about getting this corrected on the their website?

Thank you for going to take images of the grave of my great aunt & uncle. Now my next step is to figure how to get them on ancestry!! Thanks!!

Micky James Johns

Reviewed all my sources, found out Micky is correct. I went back on Ancestry, VVMF, called graves registration and finally checked with
Long Island National Cemetery.. Micky is the correct spelling. The title on the tribute is
in correct as it shows Mickey. Also check his notice of death to the family and coffelt data base.

Sorry to trouble you.

More photos

Hi Glenn:

Thanks again for the great photos from LINC. You must really know you way around it by now, it must be a huge cemetery, twice as a big as the Golden Gate National Cemetery.

More later… Gotta go now…
