"Grandchildren are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation." Lois Wyse (20th century)|
"Life is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset. What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others." S Pierce in memorial of "Woody" and Wilda Woodward.
I am a grandmother picking up the genealogy work started by my father, mother and uncle. As a member of DAR, I helped with the Centennial Chaper NSDAR project of photographing all the headstones in Weld County Colorado. http://www.coloradodar.org/chapters/centennialstate/cemeteries.html
Now I am combining work and putting my family genealogy (ancestors and descendents) on a data base and reaching out to family via memorials across the nation and around the world and taking photos of cemeteries where I go for others.
If you have a friend or relative in Mountain View, Idaho Veterans Cemetery, Terrace Lawn or Cloverdale Cemetery, Dry Creek or Old Pioneer (Idaho City), I will be glad to take a photo of the headstones for the memorials or transfer memorials that I manage.
If you want to copy any of the photos I have posted, feel free to as long is it is not used for profit.
"Upon my death I authorize any of my memorials to be transferred to any FAG contributor as they are requested."

I just finished so you can go back in. I'm not related and so don't have any information other than that I found in Ancestry.com and familysearch.org. I feel a lot better about what it now shows in FindAGrave.com especially using the Hale Cemetery Inscriptions as a cemetery burial indicator.
|Marie Bonafonte||Hotchkiss - Grove Cemetery|
Hi, since I had originally created these memorials, I now am able to access Hale Cemetery Inscriptions so I will update with info from that listing as well as what else I can figure out very quickly. I will let you know when done. Meantime, to answer your questions - Hale listing notess "Lost in Battle of Antietam, 9/17/1862, 34 yrs" - first name is Leander, Jr, son of Leander and Sarah L. Hotchkiss.

Hi. Thanks so much for all your work. I too am going through and organizing 65 years of genealogy collected and partially computerized by my mother. It's overwhelming! I would request a transfer of Freda Rosti Davisson # 78608283 and her husband James Baird Davisson # 78608320. They are relatives on my husband's side ...his great aunt and uncle. Thank you so much! Jeri

Thank you for the memorial transfer. Certainly was not expecting that, but I will do my best to manage his memorial.

Distantly related. (2nd cousin, twice removed) on the Presnell side.
Ruby was a twin sister to Ruth Mae Presnell Parsons.

Hi, You're very welcome. I'd look for an obit here, but he's not listed in our library's online obituaries index. Maybe he died somewhere else? Mary

Thank you for your suggestion. I just got to this email today and my memorial was deleted without my knowledge. I would have transferred the memorial to you to merge the info. I hope you got the info you requested before someone deleted mine. Thanks again for the request, Rhonda

Rhonda, this memorial just came to my attention. I had not found it before.
There appears to be 3 memorials for Willie. Can we merge this one and the one
posted and credited to myself at 89111261?
My mother was a good friend of Wilna Treichler and she had me post this memorial
for her. The information we had was from some letters Wilna sent to my mother,
Barbara Tuttle. (They worked together, were both members of the same DAR and OES
groups.)The photo also is from one she gave to mom.
My mother (at 89)is now in a nursing facility and has leukemia. She still has me
looking for Willie's family. Are you related. I think mother still has that
photo. Possibly a family member would like this and the letters.
Thank you! Your information gives us a better story of Willie's life that my
mother did not have. She sends her thanks as well.
