Do It Now I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow human being let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. – Stephen Grellet 1773–1855, Quaker missionary

Infant McKesson at Holy Sepulchre Have you any idea where the "Stillborn Plot" is located? I've been going to Holy Sep for about 4 years now and have never seen such a section. Perhaps you should call the cemetery to get an exact location. You may also find locations for other McKessons there and this infant might be buried on that plot.
Jennene Farrar Terry - Park Hill Cem. You have sent a duplicate for the change of her maiden name to her Middle name. Do you have anything showing her middle name as Farrar?? You told me earlier todau that she was the dau ?? So I am gonna decline the request . Found the 1940 census( pg 831?) it has a Dau age 6 and with the way the spelling is this could very well be a Dau. ?? Jennie Myrra Jassie Farker 6

Thank you for getting back to me. I descend from Richard Farrar who married Hannah Warren. Based on DNA, I believe that Richard was most likely the son of Leonard's brother, Stephen Farrar.
The reason I asked about the tombstone inscription is that there has been a long running discussion about whether a Rene or Reynard Farrar found in early Virginia is the same man as Leonard Farrar Sr. If they were different individuals, then they were brothers, the sons of Richard and Elizabeth Sanders Farrar of Goochland and Pittsylvania Counties, Virginia. "Rene" was born in 1761 but Leonard says in his pension application he was born in 1764. So are they the same person? Your reading of the tombstone would support the idea that they are one and the same. Yet Alvahn Holmes, in her book "Some Farrar's Island Descendants" states that the tombstone gives a birth date of 4 August 1761.
May I ask if the tombstone actually gives a birthdate or if it is being computed from a statement that Leonard was X days, Y months, and Z years old? Maybe Mrs Holmes calculated wrong. I'm also curious if someone used flour or shaving cream to decipher the inscription.
Any assistance you can give me is much appreciated. I couldn't find your private e-mail address so here's mine:
Leonard Farrar Sr. Has anyone visited the Giersa-Drace Cemetery and actually verified the birthdate of Leonard? The photo on Find-A-Grave is not legible due to weathering and I have seen printed accounts that say the stone has an 1761 date. Thank you.
ina poole I just uploaded a photo as per your request and hope it is to your liking. I also took a very beautiful photo of the other side, which reads "Poole", and has very beautiful fancy carving of flowers. Would you like that uploaded also? It is of very good quality with excellent lighting.
I tried to find a death record online in Missouri, but could find none. There was a death index listing for Charles J. Markle in 1933 in Illinois, as well as another Charles Markle. Perhaps one of them is your Charles and his Illinois death certificate would give a clue to his burial place.
