I was born at Notre Dame Hospital in Lynch Kentucky. I was brought up in Harlan County, Kentucky. I lived there until 1980, at which time, I moved to Lee County, Virginia. I was never told that my Maternal Grandfather was from there. I passed by his old home place almost daily for 4 years, without knowing it. I have a great respect for honoring the people who lived before us and contributed to our chosen paths.I am extremely proud of being from Harlan County, Kentucky!! I'm thankful that I lived in Lee County, it gives me a much better perspective in my research.
