Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Central Kentucky (Rockcastle County)but the Leesburg/Lee County and Albany/Dougherty County area of south west Georgia holds a special place in my heart. I have been studying my family history since April 2010. I come from Leger and Ramey lines in Rockcastle County, KY, Robinson in Clay County, KY and Morey and Bryant on my mother's side in south west Georgia. My Presley line traces back through Fayette County, KY to Rogersville in Hawkins County, Tennessee.

Please take a moment to visit the memorial to my Mom Joan Presley, who passed away June 23, 2013.

7/24/2013: A special thanks to Debra Dawson, Contributor # 46809560 for sponsoring Mom's memorial page. It was a very kind and thoughtful gesture, as are the tokens that she and others have left for Mom and for other family members.

10/18/2013: Not been on the site as much just lately. As the holidays approach, I find it more difficult to get my mind off of those who have gone on. This has been an exceptionally rough time of year since my Grandmother's death in 2006 and got worse after my grandfather passed in 2011. I am ever thankful to those who visit the memorials to my friends and family on here, even if I am not on here as often to express this through messages.

Don't let it come as a great shock to you when I don't make changes to memorials based on non-verified information. Verified to your satisfaction does not necessarily mean verified to mine. If you are sending information that was not included in the original memorial, such as information from an obituary from which I made the memorial, send something to verify what you are sending. I've begun going back and restoring memorials to their original state when other contributors have gotten the admins to make their changes based on information that they have made no offer to verify.

Once a person's name has made it into the database, no other concern trumps accuracy as far as I am concerned. That is the perfectly legitimate reason for this perfectly legitimate policy.

I won't link to burial unknowns. I have done this ONCE, between two memorials that I set up and in which case I knew that my great-great-great Uncle died in the Civil War and his resting place has yet to be determined. I may yet undo even that link. It is sad that all of this must be handled on a piece by piece basis when the site guidelines are so clear and concise on these matters.
