Bio and Links
Bio Photo In 2006 I googled my mother's name and found her on Find a Grave--this was a joyful day for me. Of course, I had to find everyone else! It took awhile after joining (initially to place 'flowers' on their memorials) before really understanding enough to make memorials myself. This I began in 2011, starting with my darling husband. Was involved as a bereavement facilitator for my church (right after Ken's death) - am very aware of the needs of the grieving to tribute their loved ones. Find a Grave is a wonderful place to do just that. Am also quite experienced in the pain which insensitive/unthinking people can inflict. (Am presently not actively facilitating--although I still find myself helping with grief issues any where I happen to be.)

My direct family lines are through Fonnesbeck, Duval, Gerbet, and Bissegger families.

My husband's direct family lines are Pitcher, Jorgensen, Plowman, and Barrett.

And many, many more before!

However, I am fascinated by all.

Have found several loved ones and friends through findagrave and am thoroughly hooked on helping to make all of our searches more satisfying, productive, educational and just plain fun!

It has been very wet and gloomy in Davis County too. I also prefer rain to snow, because you don't have to shovel rain. It's always best to stay in when it's stormy, but if you have to go out in the rain, go slower and watch for standing water. Just be safe! It would be terrible if anything were to happen to you. I hope and pray that you, and others that are close to you, will always return home safely. If you need to check out the rain, then run around the yard a couple of times while it's pouring outside! grin :) Take care Pat!

Best wishes, Richard

Dear Pat,

What's wrong with Salt Lake County? Is that where you live? By the way, I live in Davis County. My weekend was pretty good, but short. I had to work on Saturday, and I work in the morning too. Grin to you too! Take care and have fun!

Best wishes, Richard

RE: Thank you
You're welcome. I received a bunch to foster created by a fallen contributor. I'm just now getting around to looking into them to see if a close friend or family member had left flowers...that's who I'm transferring them to. Thank you for taking care of him now.

I am the Syracuse Cemetery Sexton and was just notified that the family of Kerry M Shimada will be placing his urn in the Syracuse Cemetery. Would you please edit the cemetery information on this. If you would like to transfer this to me that would be fine as well since his wife and family will eventually be in the same cemetery. My Find-a-grave # is 47499363.
Thanks

RE: Re Patrick Richard Sayles
Thank you Pat. I appreciate it. My mother tried unsuccessfully several times in her life to try to find her birth family. She had no success. It never really mattered to me since my relationship with my grandmother (thru adoption of course) was ideal. But since my mother's passing it has come on to my radar (so to speak). Whatever outcome I do appreciate your reply and sympathy.
Thank You....Bill Herd

Re Patrick Richard Sayles
Hello Pat...My name is William Herd. My mother was Linda Woods, born Virginia Lee (Leigh?) Sayles in Salt Lake City on 7 March 1947. In or around 1949 she was adopted by Perry and Dorothy Woods of Los Angeles. I know this is a touchy question, but I wonder if you have any information re this or could pass my message on to anyone who may care to see it. I can be reached at billherd@hotmail.com by you or any else. Thank you. (I should mention my mother passed away in 2014)
