|C.C.Diamond||ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest|
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

JM. Thank you for your thougtfulness. Ross
|Ross A Peot||Ernistene Heller|
JMW: I noted that you had posted flowers on memorial 50907082. I believe Ernistene is a sister to my great great grandfather. Who would be August Welk. My mom was Shirley Welk, her dad Louis, his dad Frank and his dad August. Looking for the connection. Anything to add? Ross

Thank you. I was interested to know where you read about Harry's ailment that killed him. Tubercolosis. I hadn't seen that on the general records but makes sense as he died after the war had ended. Almost certainly in one of the Hospitals that remained.

2 of the worked for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railways and are commemorated on a WW1 plaque at Victoria Station Manchester.
Interesting that the railway soccer team became Manchester United.
All the best for 2014. Big year for WW1 and aim to visit all 3 of the graves in the next few years.

Thank you for adding a Pic of Harry Baillie's grave in France. He was my Grandfathers first cousin.
You also I believe connected him with William Baillie his brother. Another brother also sadly died Walter Baillie.
My Grandfather William Henry Pinkstone served with William Baillie and saw him just after he had been shelled at Bronfay Farm in Jan 1916.
He later visited them again in 1980. A very touching moment.
RIP The Baillie family
Brother william Baillie buried in Chipilly, Somme in France 23/01/1916 aged 22yrs.~
