Bio and Links
Bio Photo I retired as an elementary school principal in 2000. As a person that sleeps only 4 hours a night that leaves 20 hours to fill. Sitting home is not an option. Now, I drive a school bus 5 hours a day and visit cemeteries every chance I get. I have never been to a cemetery that charged admission and seldom is there a crowd. My wife, Sandra, is of a like mind so it works well. We both enjoy the hunt and the thrill that comes with each discovery. Let us know if we can help. If you have additional information on one of my post or you are a relative and want ownership, I will gladly transfer it to you. Just ask. Oh! By the way just call me Doc!
NOTE: Many times the family plot has names different from those on the headstone. I always attempt to provide a reference point for markers. Hope this is not confusing.

Two quotes worth remembering:

"Tread softly, dreams are buried here." Unknown

"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

This Is So Great!
Doc,
Thank you so much for the transfer of the memorials for Flo and Yates Kistler. I simply adored these people. Flo had fire red hair and I thought Yates was so distinguished with his professional fox hounds that looked like little jack russells!

RE: Edwin Jr.
Thank you so much, Richard for adding Ed's
information to his family. As for taking over the Memorial, I think I'll leave it to your capable hands. I just thought, since I've worked on the family history (and more covering every connection I can find to his or mine), that I'd go ahead and submit what I know. Modern folks have people strewn all over the country these days. I love findagrave
and think it's a wonderful resource for genealogists or family historians. Thank you for all you do.

RE: Emio Keller
Hi! Who are Emio's parents? Have you figured that out yet? According to my records, Imo was born in July 1895 in NC. She married a guy named Charles Glenn Keller and had a daughter in 1925 that died the day she was born. Charles and their daughter Matildy are buried in Antioch but I haven't had any luck locating any death records for Imo. I just so happened to stumble upon your memorial for Emio. Since Imo (on one record) was spelled "Emma", I assumed that her name was either very rare or unique. It seemed rather odd to find another weird name (Emio) very close to Imo's name with the same last name as Imo's husband Charles buried in the same cemetery as both her husband and child.

Must be one of those odd coincidences. I would love to find out what info you have on Emio such as parents and such. My great grandfather Clark Thomas Austin and many other distant relatives are buried in Antioch. I am related to the William Austin who donated land to Antioch and helped found Antioch Church.

RE: John Caldwell
John Andrew Caldwell is my 1st cousin 4x removed. His father (John Elliot Caldwell) was the brother of my 3rd great grandfather (Andrew Hamilton Caldwell). Are you related to the Caldwells?
