I retired as an elementary school principal in 2000. As a person that sleeps only 4 hours a night that leaves 20 hours to fill. Sitting home is not an option. Now, I drive a school bus 5 hours a day and visit cemeteries every chance I get. I have never been to a cemetery that charged admission and seldom is there a crowd. My wife, Sandra, is of a like mind so it works well. We both enjoy the hunt and the thrill that comes with each discovery. Let us know if we can help. If you have additional information on one of my post or you are a relative and want ownership, I will gladly transfer it to you. Just ask. Oh! By the way just call me Doc!|
NOTE: Many times the family plot has names different from those on the headstone. I always attempt to provide a reference point for markers. Hope this is not confusing.
Two quotes worth remembering:
"Tread softly, dreams are buried here." Unknown
"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

Hello Richard I was reasearching the Kluttz family and I noticed Eve Klutts 35343877 in the lowerstone cemetery were most of my folks are you have the correct last name spelling for that time but I also noticed another memorial in her name it is Eva Trexler Kluttz witch makes 2 memorials both right but Kluttz was not spelled with the z till later and it varied from state to state in spelling if you would release her to me I will correct these memorial and link her to the rest of m family folk thanks.
|Cynthia NAQUIN Allen||Hello|
Hi, again...many thanks for the MARSDEN family transfers..and your creating them in the first place is MUCH appreciated!! Stay well. :)
You have created a LOT more memorials than I have, so there is probably a logical explanation. I'm just trying to learn. Since you had a career in education, I would guess that you would agree that the only stupid question is the one which is not asked. All that said, let me ask you about two memorials you have created for Garvin Thomas Keener: 28547810 & 35506751. I understand what a cenotaph is, and that one of these may be a cenotaph. I suppose it is possible that someone's ashes be divided and buried in two different counties, but would the Veterans' Administration consent to create duplicate markers for both cemeteries? Please set me straight, when you have a minute. At first I thought it was a simple duplication, which is easy to do by accident. The more I look, though, the more it seems you intended to do this for a reason. It's probably none of my business. I just try to eliminate duplication when I see it. It was really bad on FindaGrave for awhile. Maybe the Ancestry folks are getting it straightened out. Thanks in advance for any light you can shed.
Thanks for the transfer. I have added a link to his brother and I will keep looking for his parents! Thanks for adding him and all you do!
