Bio Photo Because the website is arbitrarily removing work I submitted I am not contributing or participating unless I become more comfortable with it's operation. I will miss this. Many years, many friends.

My home is circa 1784. Its situation is such that it fell in the line of battle during the conflict between the States. When my father died, I was too early at the cemetery for the appointment concerning the necessary arrangements. To pass the time I paid a visit to the antique shop close by. Displayed there was a book which possessed a title that gave me the idea that my home may be mentioned within. Upon opening it, the pages fell directly to a description and photograph of my old place. It was not intended for the purpose, but the volume became a much worn field guide as I sought to visit and photograph other antebellum homes in the vicinity. I pursued that objective with interest and vigor. This caused me to notice the old churches en route and I began to photograph them. Behind the churches were cemeteries. Cemeteries that I found to be serene and sublime, full of lore. In turn they led me here and I stayed.

I am very sorry you feel uncomfortable with this web site. I have spent hours looking for the Beaver Cemetery today, and I really would like to photograph it before I return to Fl., If you know where it is, could you please let me know, I have followed a dozen people different directions unsuccessfully and I really would like to do this.
Eager to hear from you.

Hello George,
Thank you for posting the photo of my great great grandfather. I have the tin type original that is in your contribution. The important thing is that if my original had been destroyed by a mishap then there would have been a copy. Thank you for your huge efforts on find a grave. Jeff Thomson

Other wife for Charles T Palmer
Charles Turner Palmer had a second wife, Alice Winston Cabell (1849 - 1928). They had three children: Margaret Anthony Palmer (1885-1969), Alice Winston Palmer (1886 - 1903), and Clifford Cabell Russell Palmer (1890-1898). Margaret Anthony Palmer was my grandmother and I have lots of documentation, including family Bibles, corroborating this.

I am interested in the picture you took back in 2002. This is my family and I was wondering if you took a picture by chance of the entire plot. I have been researching my family and it was the first time I have been there. I had a picture of my grandmothers grave in that same plot but all (6) head stones are gone. Oakwood is going to replace her head stone just because I do have a picture which was taken when I was a child and I am 68 today. Praise God my mother held on to it and she died last year at 83. I was going thru her stuff and found the picture. I was hoping you might have a picture of the plot with all head stones. Then I can have all the head stones replaced for free. Look forwarded to hearing from you. Here is my

Thank you,

Please let me know where you found the photo for Dr. Walker Aylett Campbell (21128558). Do you have a photo for his wife as well? thanks!

FYI. I added a duplicate photo of his memorial. It appears the stone has been cleaned since your photo. Please feel free to delete my photo if you think it clutters the memorial too much. ( I don't have connection to him.)
