" Are All The Children In "
I think oftimes, as night draws nigh,
Of an old farmhouse on a hill,
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will;
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
"Are all the children in?
'This many and many a year since then,
And the old house on the hill
No longer echoes to childrens feet,
And the yard is still........so still;
But I see it all as the shadows creep,
And tho' many the years have been,
Since then I can still hear mother ask,
"Are all the children in?'
I wonder if when the shadows fall
On that last short, earthly day,
When we say good-bye to the world outside,
All tired from our childish play;
When we step out into that Other Land,
Where mother has long since been,
Will we hear her ask, just as of old-
"Are all the children in?"

|Tamengle||Lillie Mae Putnam|
Hello! I noticed you posted the link for Lillie Mae Putnam (1862-1908). My in laws bought some vacation property in Pikeville TN. My family was hiking the property this weekend and came across her grave. The stones are still in good condition with a beautiful lamb headstone. Do you have any information on her? Did she live on that property? Are there any other gravestones there? Thanks for any information. We plan to clean up the site and place some flowers next time we are there.

Thank you for your consideration in transferring Jodie Dickens Memorial to me.
|Buddy Lundmark||Jodie Dickens Memorial #106254103|
I would like to have the above memorial transfered to me.
Jodie Dickens was the husband of my great aunt Fannie Foley Dickens, who is buried along side Jodie Dickens. I would also like to family link Fannie to Jodie and add their daughter Oda Dickens Andrews to the family profile.

Thank you for posting this newspaper obituary notice for George W. Cox.
George W. Cox is my 3rd great-grandfather, and I've searched for his Tennessee burial site for many, many years. I am descended through his 4th-born daughter, Laura Amanda Cox Youngblood, who was my maternal g-g-grandmother. Laura moved to Panola County, Texas in 1884, with her husband and four young children. George's widow, Tabitha, also moved to Panola County, Texas sometime after 1910 (when she was 81 years old), and she was buried there in 1922.
Do you know the source of this newspaper obituary notice for George?
Also, I see that his burial place is listed as "Presbyterian graveyard, Jasper." Do you know if this cemetery is still in existence? Is it connected with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jasper, TN?
I've searched Marion County, TN cemeteries on the internet in an attempt to locate this one, but I've had no success to date. I suspect that I need to know the actual name of the "Presbyterian graveyard in Jasper," as it was known in 1899.
I'm coming to the Jasper/South Pittsburgh/Sweeden's Cove area next month (October 2015) to do further family history research on my Cox, Raulston and Youngblood ancestors from Tennessee.
Any information that you can share with me regarding the actual cemetery name where George W Cox is buried, or the source of the newspaper obituary which you so kindly posted here, will be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for your contribution of this newspaper obituary - it was an absolutely tremendous gift for me, and it couldn't have come at any better time!
