RE: Edward Hamilton Holy Sepulchre Grave
Ok Craig the corrections have been applied. And it's been fascinating to follow the links back to great-great-great grandparents born in the 18th century and to learn about other ancestors as well. I think you mentioned that an ancestor of yours was killed in a car accident? My great-grandfather was killed in 1925 on a business trip when the car he was in was hit by a train. The event was mentioned in an episode of 'This Is Your Life Eddie Hamilton' which was aired on NBC on January 26, 1955. I have a copy of it. Very cool to hear all of the Hamilton siblings talk about their brother who was known as Chicago's ambassador in his day by driving Checker cab no. 5000.

There are many more unmarked as opposed to marked graves in the various Saints Paths but I'm still disappointed at not finding them.

Transfer done
Hi Craig

I transferred your great grandfather to you. I happened across him when researching some Spanish American War vets that were sons of Civil War veterans. Whenever i find good info on a vets burial location and find that they are not on findagrave i always list them hoping a family member comes across them.

My account, the military and their family members will always be maintained by the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War Camp that i am a Past Camp Commander of, so those vets will never be forgotten. I see people that post thousands of memorials then either lose interest or die and accessing the memorials becomes difficult.

I am in central Massachusetts but my veterans search, especially of African American vets of the Civil War takes me all over the place online.

Glad i could help!

Take care

Oops - I misread the DOD in the obit. April 13 not April 18. Thanks for catching that. If you are a family member I would be happy to transfer the memorial.

I am sorry, but Michael is not marked. Even the Carroll's are barely marked.

Sorry,

Hugh Dougherty
Craig, I went to Glenwood cemetery today to respond to your request for a photo of the grave of Hugh Dougherty. According to cemetery records, he is buried in Section G, Lot 202, site 9. I went to Lot 202 and unfortunately found that none of the three Dougherty graves in that lot are marked. I could post a photo showing the grassy area where the graves are. But I'll leave it up to you to decide if that's a good idea or if it's better to simply say the graves are unmarked. Just let me know, thanks.
