Thank you, I so enjoy finding grave-markers. So many times the grave-sites are empty, especially on the older graves. It's so sad when there is nothing there for future generations. Have a great week.

August (Immigrated in 1893), Augusta (Children born - 7, children living - 7), August, Carl, Ella, Bertha.
August Ferdenand Tuenge, a resident of Howard county for 33 years, died at his home in St. Libory at 5 p.m. Sunday, of senility and ailments incident thereto. Though he had been in failing health for the past year or more, his condition was not extremely serious until within recent weeks.
Born at Boltenhagen, near Schiefelbein, Germany, on August 11, 1844, he was aged 81 years. 11 months and 28 days. In 1893, Mr. Tuenge located on a farm in Howard county where he resided until about ten years ago, when he retired from active work and moved to St Libory. He was active in church work and during his long residence gained, a wide acquantance. being held in high esteem.
Mr. Tuenge was united in marriage in Germany with Otelia Macher, who died in 1884. The following year, he married Augusta Manke, who survives him. Besides his widow, he is survived by ten children: Mrs. John H. Meyer, of Ogallala; Otto Tuenge, of Rawlins, Wyo;: August, of North Platte; Carl A., of North Platte; Mrs. Wm. Williams, residing east of this city; Mrs. Robert Moore, of Denver; Mrs. Marie Voigt, of this city; Frank, of St. Libory; and Emil, of Denver, the three latter children being by the former marriage. Eighteen grandchidren and one great grandchild also survive.
About six weeks ago a family reunion was held, at which all of the children were present.
Funeral sevices will be held from the home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, and at 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran church on Seventh and Locust street, Rev. O. Hausmann officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island cemetery.

Augusta Tuenge
Mrs. August Tuenge, 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude Moore, here, at 9:35 p.m. Thursday. Complications arising from her advance age was given as the cause of death.
Hanna Augusta Beulow was born in Zimmertozich, Germany, Sept. 21, 1854, and married to August Tuenge, in Germany, April 9, 1884. With her husband, she came to America in 1893, taking residence on a farm three miles east of St. Libory. Later, following retirement from the farm, Mr. and Mrs. Tuenge lived in St. Libory.
Following her husband's death, August 8, 1926, Mrs. Tuenge came to this city to live with another daughter, Mrs. W. M. Williams and later, Mrs. Moore.
Mrs. Tuenge is survived by seven children, Mrs. John Meyer, Ogallalla, Mrs. Henry Alberts and Otto Tuenge, of Rawlings, Wyo; August and Carl Tuenge, North Platte; Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Moore, both of this city; three step-children,Frank Tuenge, of St. Libory; Emil Tuenge, of Lincoln, and Marie Tuenge, of Laramie, Wyo: twenty-six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A son, Paul, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, Monday, at 2 p.m. Rev. O. Hausmann officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Cemetery.

My husband's great-grandfather was Charles Tuenge, brother to August. Another brother is Herman Teng. Tuenge is spelled many different ways, also has been spelled Tinge. I hope these
obits will help.

August and Augusta Tuenge
Please review the information for August and Augusta Tuenge. They lived in Howard County, Nebraska. I have their obituaries. August was August Ferdenant Tuenge and Mrs. Tuenge was born Hanna Augusta Beulow.They had 10 children but two of those listed are not in the obit. I will e-mail a copy of the obits. if needed.
