Bio and Links
Bio Photo PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction link to add/correct information. I try to get to them within 24 hours of receipt.

PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction to request a transfer. Please include your relationship. I will not transfer out of guidelines. Please spare me the "I am the family genealogist" and the "I have tons of information to add" stories. Use the edit system. Too many people have requested out-of-guidelines transfers and then never added so much as a comma to the memorial. Requests for bulk transfers will be summarily ignored.

I WILL NOT link to a "burial unknown". This IS a grave registration site.

If I do not maintain the memorial, but add a picture, PLEASE check the photo caption for the inscription.

My love of old cemeteries is genetic from my dad. I try to take pictures of the fallen/damaged markers first as they might end up "behind the shed" or "over the wall" by the next time I get there.

Sources for additional memorial information include:

William H Adams
Can you tell me where you obtained the birth information for Wm. Adams? He was my 2xs great grandfather. I know the death information is correct and that he drowned in the Williamsburg flood, but I have not been able to validate his birthdate. He was baptized in Pittsfield MA in Sep 1823. I don't believe he was born in Roxbury. His parents were Joseph and Mary Brewster Clark Adams. Thanks for your time, Laurel Adams

Thank you.
I have been researching my husband's family around and about Plainfield and Ashfield; and I keep running across your name. Thank you so much for all the wonderful photos and information, and all the time you have obviously spent doing this important work!

Elizabeth Smith - Bridge St. Cem.
Correction to that last message I just wrote: her death record (ancestry.com) lists her parents as Peter White and Sarah Currier.

Elizabeth Smith - Bridge St. Cem.
Thanks for you suggestion re: parents of Elizabeth (White) Smith. From her death record, it looks like her parents were Peter Smith and Sarah Currier (Carrier) (memorial 77080250). Please let me know if you have more info about this. Thanks, -Scott

Julia Miller Wood
Hi again, PK. I exchanged emails a couple of weeks ago with Theresa, who manages the earlier memorial for this person. I sent her information about Julia's first marriage, asked her to add it to her memorial for Julia, and said i'd remove my memorial as soon as she did. She didn't respond and hasn't made the requested addition. I was thinking I'd give her a month and then send her a reminder.

Robert Parsons duplicate
Quite right, PK -- my goof. I've reposted my photo on the original memorial and deleted my new one.

Eddie and Addie James stone(s)?
Hi, PK. I have a question for you about a stone or stones in the Village Hill Cemetery in W'msburg for which you've created memorials. You may not remember the answer, but if you do, it would be helpful to me.

There's a stone in the James family enclosure at the center of the cemetery that I think must be for your Addie and Eddie, but I can't find any names on it. Did you find those names somewhere on the stone, or did you check the cemetery's records and conclude that the two kids were buried under that stone, or do I have the wrong stone altogether? I've posted a photo of it to Addie's memorial for you to look at, and of course I'll remove it if it isn't right. Thanks for looking.
