Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Carol and have lived in Georgia all my life. Residing in N.E. Atlanta for many years and grew up in Hapeville, Georgia.

My Dad began this amazing journey in finding our heritage. While on this journey we had discovered so many relatives and friends.

Peternal Lineage ...

Hape ~ Rogers ~ Puderbach ~ Putnam ~ Hall ~ Naill ~ Ecker ~ Engel ~ Reifsnider ~ King ~ Robbins ~ Thompson ...

Maternal Lineage ...

Hunt ~ Edwards ~ Harris ~ Brown ~ Clay ~ Simmons ~ Wingate ~ Maddox/Maddux ~ Knott ~ LeSueur ~ Stinson ~ Bryant ~ Harper ~ Wyatt ~ Tyler ~ Strother ~ Shy/Shi ~ Chastain ~ Hancock ~ Batte ~ Birchett/Burchett ~ Judkins ~ Polk ~ McLarty ~ Eidson ~ Daniell ...

Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.

Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

Amelia Heard Jones # 66219927
Georgia Girl, you created a memorial for Amelia Heard Jones and listed a lot of great bio info. Do you recall where you got this info? I'm looking for sources to confirm her parents. Her Find A Grave Memorial# 66219927. Thanks so much.

Sydney Luther Huff - 79467916
Good afternoon! I am a volunteer photographer for Find A Grave in the Dearing GA area and I just finished canvassing the Dearing United Methodist Cemetery. Graves that are there but werenít listed on Find A Grave are now listed and every stone thatís in that cemetery now has a photograph.

After I finished, I printed out the interments list for the Dearing Cemetery which is right across the street from the Dearing UMC Cemetery. Iím going to start that one next. However I found some graves on that list that are really located in the DUMC. One of those belongs to you:

Sydney Luther Huff Ė 79467916

I have deleted the memorial I created for him in DUMC and moved my photos to your memorial. If you like, you can transfer Sydney from the Dearing Cemetery to the DUMC cemetery.

Earlier this summer I talked to a member of the Dearing town council about which cemetery was which. He said the Methodist cemetery is right next to the church and the cemetery across the road is the Dearing Cemetery. The Dearing Cemetery was also for a short time called Dearing Memorial by some funeral homes, creating more confusion, and some newspaper obituaries would not be specific as to which cemetery a person was being buried in! Hopefully Iíll get it all straightened out. ☺

Cordially,

Chris Kirby

RE: Charles T. Polk
Yes, Archibald L. Polk is my grandfathers great grandfather. I am researching the Polk family to complete a Polk family book. The goal I have is to be ready to have it printed at the first of the year. I have so much documentation on the family, but I am constantly checking for additional information. I am sure you have heard that many of the Polk researcher think that Captain Charles Taylor Polk is the father of Archibald L. Polk.

Who is you Polk line?

Just wondering if you know how to add info or add a grave when someones burial place is unknown? I see you have several Earp's info. Matthew Earp is my 5th Great Grandfather and his son is Abendego Earp which is my 4th Great Grandfather. Wright Earp is his son and is my 3rd Great Grandfather and is on findagrave. Thanks for any help you can give!
