A native Detroiter, history and military are my main interests. I'm an OIF veteran with the Army and I have twenty years in the United States Marine Corps,The United States Navy, and The United States Army, National Guard active and Reserve time with all three branches. Made it back from my second tour, banged up. My two oldest sons are both veterans of OIF.I am a survivor of suicide, my first wife Kate in 1984. This web site has helped me heal a great deal not only with the loss of my wife, but also with the loss of other family and friends, including my best friend Glen Kahl in 2006. I hope I offend no one on here.-Al

It's all you! You are what makes this nation so powerful and great. men and wemon who without thinking about yourself put on the uniform and fight for me and my family and you don't even know me.I CAN'T UNDERSTAND your selflessness It takes a worrior like attitude that not alot of us have,to suit up and show up for others.YOU ARE A HERO and it's my duty to make it known to you that i'm very thankful for my freedoms. You have no idea how greatful i am.You sir are a survivor. If you would like to keep in touch please feel free.
Thank you Sgt. Rock, Thank you for your service to our great nation. I am sorry for the loss of your wife. May you find peace in your life through reaching out to family and friends and sometimes total strangers.
