G.H Whitehead is actually C.H. Whitehead
Charles Henson Whitehead, Sr ... he was an engineer on the General, which was still in service after the Civil War. He made regular trips from Atlanta to Tennessee and stopped overnight in Dalton, GA where he met Olive Luken. - this info from his granddaughter Charlesey Whitehead Brown.

RE: Ben N Penner
I am distantly related... like second cousin... or something. I would be happy to manage the site, though. I grew up in the Zion Mennonite Church so am familiar with all the families and their connections. My mother has collected funeral programs over the years and recently gave them to me so I will try to add the obits as I have time.

RE: G. L. Norrman
THanks. I will look on Wiki and see if they reference a source. I have about three or four of him but not one for this time period.

G. L. Norrman
Hi Bertha,
I loved the picture you posted of Gottfrid Norrman who was buried in Oakland Cemetery [Atlanta] in 1909. I write my doctoral dissertation on him and have seen several pictures but not this one. I was wondering where you got this??? Thank you.

Are you absolutely sure this posting of a prisoner profile is for this Benjamin F. McClain? Found it a strange posting.

Resurrection: DOUGLAS
Thanks for your time and diligence toward improving the memorials for Herschel and wife Evelyn by adding important biographical data, and for linking his parents. This, and all your other efforts are very much appreciated.
