Hello, my name is Karl Stelly. I'm 60 years old, and I'm originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. I've lived in Baytown, Texas, Tulare, California, Great Falls, Montana, Killeen, Texas, Manassas, Virginia, and Louisville, Kentucky. I moved to Gettysburg with my fiance about 8 years ago. I enjoy roaming the battlefield and photography, and studying the history of Gettysburg and the Civil War. I have quite a few photographs of Gettysburg and other Civil War battlefields and other historic sites posted on Google Earth. I use the name "Seven Stars" on Panoramio and Google Earth. If you see photos there by "Seven Stars," that's me!

I do not have that portrait in my current computer, and I do not have a scanner right now. You can make a copy of it from your memorial, if you have not already. You can use it for anything you wish.

I just noticed that early this year, a different Find a Grave contributor posted another memorial of Col. Walton, and I guess the reason he was able to make such duplicate is because he added "Sr." after the Colonel's name. The contributor wrote a very long bio, and the memorial has a color portrait, not the portrait I posted in your memorial. That contributor also says where the Colonel is buried.

Thanks - Never hurts to double check:)

I just want to say thank you on behalf of my family for the information you have posted. John is my uncle and died long before I was born. Every time my mother and I go to her hometown of Gettysburg, we always visit John. This year we are going to DC and it will be the first time my mom gets to see the Vietnam Memorial. I have seen it and located John's name before, but this is a big deal for my mom. To refresh my memory of the location of his name on which panel, I typed his name into Google and found this website. I am just truly thankful for the additional information and will try to add photos of John. Again thank you.

Do you research this family?
I would like to know more about Thaddeus Carl Coomes B. 1767 in Kentucky m. Nancy Barnett and Elizabeth Fenwick
|Larry Kinyon||RE: Brady Carl Brown at Gettysburg|
Thanks for the heads up. I deleted one of them. Probably somehow double clicked when I uploaded the photo. Thanks again.
|Wayne||Vernon and Mary Ward|
Thanks for your efforts to get photos of headstones of Vernon and Mary Ward. Have been able to add to my family tree and have given you proper credit for suppling them.

|Michelle Stelly||Our relation|
I think I have it. Our first common relative is Johann/Jean that married the Edelmeyer. I'm from Jean Baptiste where you are from his brother Jean George. Hi cousin
|Michelle Stelly||RE: Headstone for my grandpa|
We've talked about it before and I am sure we are. I need to plug the info you gave me before and trace us back. I'll get back with you with what I find 😃
