Please visit my new website, Peninsula Genealogy, if you have ties to the Hampton Roads area. I'm documenting obituaries, marriage, birth and death records there, and linking all obits back to findagrave so people can see additional info on their loved ones.|
I have been doing my genealogy for over 13 years now. I started visiting the local cemeteries in my area looking for my relatives. By doing that, I realized how much I like to go there and how I enjoy helping others find their relatives. I am willing to do cemetery lookups in my area (Hampton, VA), so email me if need some help. Will also look up obituaries at our local library. I just love to do research!
I am currently transcribing and posting pics of cemeteries around Hampton VA. I have completed most of the smaller cemeteries (less than 1000 graves) and a few larger ones. I'm hoping by doing all this, it will make it easier for many people to find their loved ones.
My maternal grandfathers family was from MA (Mackay, Martin, McGlew, Traill)
My maternal grandmothers family was from VA, NC and PA (Gildner, Broadstreet, May, Bridgland, Smith, Arnold).
My paternal grandfathers family was from WY, NE, WI and SD (Allman, Caddy, Simons, Carberry, Rogers, Stuart)
My paternal grandmothers family was from CA, Washington, DC and OH. (Ehrmantraut, White, Gerhold, Dolph).
My husbands family is from NC and SC. (Orr, Malone, Boone, Clement, Mckay, Stewart, Vaughan Garrett, Hatchell).

|Ella Wimer||RE: Blick corrections|
Thank you for your quick response and information. I didn't know about the genealogy site for the Hampton area where Aunt Hazel's obituary is listed. Have no idea how wood got on the obit but now see how it originated. Her full name is Hazel Booth Blick Ulke. No, she did not marry a Wood.
I would appreciate it if you could help me with these questions.
How can I get the other children added for Gus and Lula Blick? There were 7 of them including my mother who is buried at Parklawn.
How can I get the incorrect sibling removed? Who do I write?
Thanks, again for your time and effort.

The FindaGrave administrators removed all of his garbage from my memorials, after all if you don't care about the integrity of your memorials no one else will.
Have a nice day!!

Words fall short to adequately convey my deepest heart~felt gratitude for such valuable help (from one who doesn't even know me) than the last extremely frustrating past 30 yrs of my life running around in circles to get nowhere. You have no idea the magnitude of all the info/research you provided in addition to being able to view my paternal biological mother's resting place has had on me... It is all I have/means SO MUCH & it's ALL BECAUSE OF YOU being such a LIVING EXAMPLE that there is such Genuine GOODNESS & GREATNESS still left in this world!! You have given me a chance that I wouldn't have had without you & if I get to actually meet/speak with any remaining relations &/or finally get some answers after all this time... well, I'm already indebted to you forever in a way I can never hope to repay. Thank YOU Dawn Stewart for the AMAZING Gift YOU ARE & Blessing a complete stranger's LIFE in such a Tremendously Significant way... These words are not enough but they are all I have, coming from the depths of my heart, soul & being. Yes, Joe and I are still working on the Phoebus side of the Hampton National Cemetery. Ron finished the Hampton side and moved on. I have about 300 more pictures to input in Section H and my part will be done, but I plan to go back through the memorials I previously created and make sure each has a photo and there are no duplicates.
