I became interested in family history when I discovered that my 4th great grandmother and 4 of her sons moved to Michigan and started a church. My maiden name is Rough and lived almost all of my life in Berrien County, Michigan. I still have plenty of family there and return to Michigan twice a year. Cannot ever let go of my roots!!Since then I have become a family history consultant with my church. I regularly work on my family history and assist others with theirs. Whenever I visit a cemetery (regardless of the reason) I try to take photos of gravestones to upload to Find A Grave.
