I have been working on my family tree since 1997, but only recently (2004, when my dad, Melvin, passed away) have I been working on the headstone aspect of my family tree.
I have been working mostly on my Mom's side, with the surnames of Schweitzer, Woodworth, Etgen (Etchen is the original name with Etgen and Etchey being run-off of the name), Werling, and Linder. I have done some work on my Dad's side, with the surnames of Paige, Hemenway, Moyer, Lowell, and Schoonover (Van Schoonoven).
I enjoy going out to the cemeteries and taking pictures of the various headstones, so requests are always welcome. And have taken it upon myself to enter all the memorial for Lyman County, SD to include photos of the headstones (just be patient as I don't live in Lyman County, but 1 county away).
Rabern photos in Presho Cem Hi Joseph. Thank you so much for the photos of the Raberns in Presho Cemetery. I know the effort it takes to photograph and document stones, so I appreciate your willingness to help! Thanks again...keep up the good work!
Just stopped by to say hello! Hi Joseph! I just met your Aunt Gloria on ancestry.com and she suggested that I take a look at the work that you have done on findagrave. You and my husband Court are 3rd cousins 2x removed on the Paige side. It's nice to meet you :)
RE: Catherine Linder Fay Apologies, must have been one of my late night excursions. I made a few corrections but now must wait to see which ones take. Some of the necessary changes may have to be made by other contributors.
Lila Mae Drake I am so very pleased that you responded so quickly with the photo of Lila Mae Drake's stone. This little girl was one of several that her parents (My great grandparents) lost. The story of this family is quite tragic, and it is important that I, as a descendant, remember them. I truly appreciate that you took the time to visit Lila and get her picture.
Jonathan Carter Busse In Riverside Cemetery, Pierre I really appreciate your addition of a picture of our infant's grave marker. However, the plaque misspelled his name. We have just visited Pierre for the first time in 36 years, had a new plaque made, and have pictures of it, which I will post. Could you please delete your picture, which has the misspelling?
