This set a example and Grave Law in all America!

His first bill he submitted, sponsored, and was passed was the Virginia Cemetery Bill, which forbade any destruction and/or plowing them under of them!

He alone saved the Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) from being becoming extinct when he was Chairman of Virginian Wildlife. Yes this is the Bird which the Country TURKEY attained that name. Tom, hen , and poults all.
Benjamin Franklin wanted this as our national Bird.

RE: William Colgan
Jonathan,
Done. No need to return the management. I am not a numbers counter.

I stumbled on his grave while visiting Cave Hill last year and since he did not have a memorial posted one. Great cemetery-need to make another visit, but it is a long way from Northern Virginia.
All the best,
Carter

William Colgan
Received your suggestion to put a link to William's parents on his memorial. Unfortunately I do not have any information on them. If you do, I'd be happy to transfer the memorial to you.

Related?
I've seen your name pop up on "flowers" left for some of my ancestors (in particular the D'Aubigne and Borden families). I'm friends (in Missouri) with your cousin Lynne (De Mallie) Hortenstine, so I recognized your last name. She wasn't sure if the connection was on the De Mallie side or your mom's side. Can you fill me in on whether or not Lynne and I are related?

Potters
You have requested these memorials be transferred 5-6 times now (and so have other relatives who are out of guidelines). Once again per the FAQs "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren". Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Please take a minute to read the FAQs regarding transfers. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?searchArg=transfer&page=listFaqs#79

Also, from the FAQs, the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it. This is a grave registration site not a family tree building site.

Once again... Click on the 'edit' tab and if the information is appropriate and does not conflict with other information (you or others have sent) it will be added.

James Harvie/Harvey
I created a cemetery on Find A Grave for several people and found that one, James Harvey/Harvie might have two burial sites. One at Campbell-Harvey-Mitchell Cemetery (that I created) off Route 666 in Nelson County and one at Fortune Cemetery (you maintain his memorial there). The James I created spells his name differently and has different DOB & DOD. His wife, Cynthia Fortune also has a gravesite at both. Is there a headstone at Fortune? I guess people can have two. I read your notes, let me know if you would like anyone transferred.
Thank you,
Terrie Minyard

Transfer
I will add information to memorials that I have created but I will not continue to transfer memorials to you, except under the guidelines of Find A Grave. I have worked many long hours to create these memorials and will only transfer under the proper guidelines.
