Due to many ongoing health reasons right now, I am not able to do any research and making corrections is very hard. |
If you are related to any of the entries I have made and would like them transferred to you please ask.
Others will be transferred to a good friend of mine and she will be maintaining them.
If you have sent me an e-mail requesting changes, there will be many times I away from my computer now -- so it may be delayed. Please be patient with me.
You can contact me by e-mail too at email@example.com

Rick, I have found a copy of his obit from the newspaper and it even has a photo of him. Since you already have a quote for his bio., do you want me to add this obit with photo or not. I found it in one of two boxes of newspapers that my aunt gave me from cleaning out a house in Columbia a couple of weeks ago.

Now I'm baffled. You sent hte edit on 7 Sep 2015 for the edit you are now changing. I understand that errors creep in to our work since all these documents are created by people and THEY make the mistakes (not us, no siree Bob). But I went through Ancestry.com and found nothing on RL Workman. So ... before I make any other changes, could you at least let me know the source of your information?
|Ron Johnson||RE: Links|
I appreciate and understand that. One thing I always was concerned with is: if somone lives in Columbia but died in a hospital in Nashville, technically, we should put Nashville, though that wasn't the place of residence. Somone looking at it might think it was.
Thanks for the links. However, I would prefer not to add the places of birth and death unless they are different towns, counties, or states. Usually not even that, if the information is in the biography.

I'll process your edits and relink her.

Rick, Did you mean to unlink Elmer from Melanie Wilburn Gray as his wife on your edit request?
Let me know.

I was reading your note about the grave stone of Martha Young, and you mentioned that there is a footstone marked JWY.
This is Jacob W. Young, the husband of Martha! He was a Revolutionary War Patriot ... served in the Continental Navy as a Privateer. He received a pension.
Your discovery opens up the possibility of getting his grave marked with a VA stone!
Were you able to save the footstone? Is it still on site?

Rick, if I need to correct it, please let me know. Thanks. Cheryl Mullens Martin
