Bio

In my first tour in vietnam with 196th LIB alapha company. I was the third platoon medic. This when i met mike. That day november 20,1968 is forever burned into my memory. My first big firefight. How would i preform? I quess i did all right. I ended up months later getting shot trying to attend a point man. I then went back for a second tour in vietnam with the 101st Airborne division .2/501, alpha company. This time i was the senior aide man. In july 1970 , i was wounded again. I spent months in th hospital recovering from wounds. I often though about mike and his family, but could never bring myself to visit them. In early 2007 ,Joesph ,one of mike's brother contacted me and said he and his family were going to move michael to Arlington cemetary in 2008. I went to philly and the amazing adventure started. When it was done, i was standing in front of Michaels coffin at Arlington Cemetary with my wife, and two grown kids. I thought that if not for this hero, i would not of have had the opportunity to have a family and a long life. All the guilt and pain was lifted from my shoulders. Thanks Mike.
