RE: 3rd Iowa Cavalry
Craig,
While connecting people in Chicago to those in Iowa, I saw Lt. Col. George Staples (#83760843) buried in the Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa. He was in the 14th Iowa Infantry.

Craig,
I saw William E. Forker (#54903067) in Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago yesterday. Add him to your virtual cemeteries if you haven't done so already.

RE: Asa R Lee
Here's what I know about Asa Reeves Lee. He was my great-grandmother Rebecca Levonia (Lee) Olmstead's brother. Their father Andrew P. Lee married twice, Melvina Hawk was his second wife after Asa and Rebecca's mother Anna L (Reeves) died in 1846. Anna had been married and widowed twice before she married Andrew. She had one child with Elisha Grenard (Elisha Grenard, Jr) and one child with John Tracy (Susannah Tracy). After Anna died the children were raised with relatives. Asa stayed with his father, step-mother and 8 half-siblings. Let me know what more you'd like to know. I have so far been unsuccessful in locating Anna's grave. Any help would be welcome. Are you related to the Lees or Reeves? I have more information on Reeves ancestors. You can e-mail me directly at family@roseklix.com
