Bio and Links
Bio Photo Atlanta, Georgia native saluting the contributions of known and unknown individuals, pacifically the fundamental role that African American's have played in the making of the American republic. Many of these known and unknown individuals broke barriers in the political, educational and entertainment arenas, as well as built up their communities, and achieved beyond what others deemed impossible. All saluted, from the famous to the obscure, deserve our gratitude, for their lives clearly demonstrate in some way-through perseverance, fortitude and hard work that people can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles to fulfill their dreams and share their gifts with the world. Find A Grave provides all of us a opportunity to learn about some of these individuals behind the struggles and triumphs that have helped shape the world in which we live. My hope is that more people will become more aware of the contributions that many of these individuals have made.

Death teaches us to remember the things that matter the most.

I would like to say thank you to all who have left tributes to my deceased relatives and especially those who sponsored memorials of my deceased relatives on Find A Grave. God Bless!

Cory Palmer at ANC
You requested a photo of the headstone for Cory Palmer at Arlington National Cemetery. I was glad to take those photos, and posted one photo for you, of the back of his headstone, which is also engraved. I want to post a photo of the front -- there is already a photo of the front of his headstone posted on his memorial, however, his headstone was replaced with a new stone since that photo was taken. I've contacted the contributor who posted a couple of photos on his memorial and have asked her to delete the photo of his temporary marker, so that I can post the photo of the front of his new stone. I'll watch to see if she does so, and then I'll post the photo and let you know. If she doesn't delete it, I'll ask a fg admin to delete it.

Thank you for your patience.

Hey Curtis, if you are interested check out the genealogy trees I created for our dads side of the family. I have them for the Baskin, Johnson, Chapman and Middlebrooks family lines. If you have any updates or additions let me know. Hope all is well with you and your family.

I went to Barbara Knowles' page to leave a token and thought I'd leave one for Paul. When I clicked on his name on the page, the Find A Grave home page came up. Something wrong with the code...

RE: Bobby Heard
Hi again
I am glad to be able to do it.
The lady over there is the nicest person I have dealt with visiting cemeteries. She usually gives me a map to show me the location, but when the marker is not present she calls and has someone escort me to the grave site so I would not miss it.
Best regards to you and yours, Bud.
PS. I love the work you are doing too. It is a very noble enterprise for sure. BB

Bobby Heard
Hi there.
Sorry, but his marker has not been place on his grave yet. I will try to keep checking on him when over there about every other week. He is buried in Lot 65-A grave 4 of the Veterans Memorial Section. He is located next to Roylean Mincey-White, purple flowers, and the Lee family grave, yellow flowers seven rows up from the central monument in the center of the Veterans section.
When putting photos on you have four choices. The default is 'Grave'. When putting photos of persons on you have to select 'Person' and that photo will remain at the top of other photos. The other two sections are 'Family' and 'Other'.
Best regards, Bud

Otis Redding photos
Mr. Jackson:I am writing a biography about Otis Redding, to be published next year by Norton. I came across your photos on and would like to know if I could use them in the book. Do you own them all, or just the gravesite ones? Please let me know. Your kind help will of course be noted in the book.

RE: Grave Photo
Your welcome
Let me know if you need anything else at Westview. I know that cemetery pretty well and I think I am the only one volunteering there. Have a good day.
