Bio Photo      I enter records here on Find A Grave for two reasons: First to help others find the graves of lost family members and second to remember our War Hero's who have "Given Their All" for our country!

If you'd like me to fix any of the records that I maintain ... please click on the "Edit" button on the top right of the record, click on "Suggest a Correction" ... Enter your note and/or correction and I'll fix them as quickly as possible.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When requesting a transfer use the edit tab on the memorial and follow the below from F-A-G. Or the request will be ignored.
From F-A-G
"Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. Bulk surname requests should not be made."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Also note from FAG rules:

"No photos of obituary's are allowed, No bio's in flower sections are allowed. The record added to the right cemetery first may stay and the burial unknown will be deleted regardless of the dates.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     I'm currently working on updating and entered Soldiers and Sailors who "Gave Their All" during World War II. To see more on this project please click on my website below...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

     I originally started researching my Family Tree when my oldest son, Chris, came home from school one day and said that they had to write up their family tree as a project. This, of course, led me to many cemeteries and I quickly became interested in them also.

     I've always enjoyed history and the two fell together.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Again, If I've created a record that someone needs deleted (since some families do not want their loved ones on the internet) or that you want me to update please let me know and I'll be glad to update it for you.
Sad one. I wonder if he saw action and was suffering from PTSD.
Thank you for the info on this family member. His father was Bertrand Arthur Goodbread and his mother was Maude (nee Pettit). Stanley was their only child. I do not find their graves on findagrave. His mother actually died before him, in April 1937, but I have been unable to find any her grave, obit, or death cert. I know about her death from newspaper articles that mention the family traveling for her funeral and from the city directory that mentions her death.
Hello, I noticed you posted information for George and Georgia Bush on your Find A Grave page. Georgia Stevens/Voshell/Bush was my great aunt. Are you related to her or George Bush?
Thank you,
RE: PFC Robert Michael Bowman
I don't have a clue. I see your old memorial doing a google search, and the memorial not found message (google didn't have a cache version of that memorial unfortunately). Only the original creator or official site level admin can make that type of a deletion. I would recommend sending a note to the info(at)findagrave.com address with the memorial number and asking for an explanation. They are doing major recoding of the site and it could be that. It could also be that a family member didn't want the listing on findagrave and asked for it to be removed.
RE: Odd Fellow's in Milford
Russ, part of the problem is that there is no longer an Odd Fellows, Levin (I think was the Odd Fellows Black) or any other dividing line. It was once all Odd Fellow's and now it is all Milford Community Cemetery. No such thing as Milford Community New, old or other subdivision.
A strange story but that's the current arrangement. Funded by interest on the trust. Interesting but quite the genealogists nightmare.
RE: Odd Fellow's in Milford
Hi Russ,
It appears to be the worse case for genealogy research - the Odd Fellow's Name is entirely lost. I'll try to find an historic photo of the iron arch above the entry on Route 113 and submit it for reference. It was in place when my parents were buried there.
I checked the original records in Dill's book and the entire cemetery was named Odd Fellow's with the section along 113 being referenced as South Section and an area along Church Street called the Black section. There was no Milford Community Cemetery until recent times and it's no simple Google search to find its history. I plan to try and create an AKA for future researchers.
There is a memorial for Wilbert Deputy that I received a notice to remove as it is a duplicate. Anywhere else and I probably would have compared dates an clicked "Delete". But my photo was several years older than the new copyrighted one added to a memorial you created years earlier.I'm not sure of the cemetery name you used - Wilbert and his wife were both living when the cemetery was transcribed in the "Souls in Heaven, Names in Stone" project, published 1989. This has to be the result of a merge but, without an AKA description, one big chunk of history is gone forever.
Thanks for the reply, my friend. I hope to leave a trail to the Odd Fellow's name before I'm listed as "inactive".
Solomon Sharp
You have a nice picture of the marker for Solomon Sharp in Smyrna, DE. I have talked to the local sexton and they can not find it. Do you remember where in the cemetery the marker was? Thank you.
