3/5 ~ Gilbert left at 1 p.m. into the snow storm. He came back around 7:30 p.m. his little ears & feet frozen. Gilbert ate his can of wet food & now curled on the bed with a blanket over him watching Discovery I.D. channel with his eyes closed. He's in for the night, the snow is too deep outside for him to roam!

|Mary Standridge||A Very Special Thank You|
Thank you so much for adding "Last Dance" to Doyn's Find A Grave memorial. I see that you are very musically talented also. I have always seen being musical as a great gift. Doyn was a very talented man in many ways. The steel he is playing in the picture he made 100% all by himself. Shortly before he died and after many years of work and tweaking, he finished a hydraulic steel guitar and had plans on patenting it, but before that came to pass he got sick and was unable to see it come to past. Doyn never smoked but was in a smoke filled club environment every Fri. and Sat. for probably 40 years playing music. Want to guess what he died from? Go glad that the dangers of second hand smoke have came to the light. When Doyn was buried the hydraulic steel guitar was placed on top of his coffin and buried with him. Again, thanks so much for adding the link to his Find A Grave page.
|Mary Standridge||Last Date|
My father in law was a steel guitar player, and last date was something that was always requested and played at all the VFW's and Honkey Tonks he played.I have went to your site and listened to it several times. Thanks for bringing back so many wonderful memories. If you go to Doyns Find A Grave site, there is a pic of him playing his steel guitar that he made. Find A Grave #37969833. I would love to have this attached to his Find A Grave page, if there is someway you could do this for me I would I would be 1 happy person.
Thank you for visiting my mother and the token you left for her birthday. It means the world to me.
Take care and God bless
