|Clarence J. DILLION||SCOTT CO., VIRGINIA--IDAHO|
KAT--- I saw your ties to Jesse Tyree and Lucinda in Idaho. My name is Joe Dillion (Nash-long story) and I was born in Ontario Oregon and raised in Boise. 20 years ago I started a search for a father I had never met and ended up in Scott County, VA. My grandfather and dad are in Hillcrest in Weiser, ID. Other than my new obsession with F*A*G, I have been working on a list of family members that left Scott, Lee, Hancock, Hawkins(TN) and ventured west. I now have a very LARGE list, almost book size. Last I counted, I had 200 names of JUST 1st and 2nd generation.
Of course, with the last Name CARTER, I am thinking you have ties to Scott Co. I just wanted to say HI and let you know there are others, like myself, that grew up in Idaho with roots in Scott Co. My wife and I retired to the Knoxville, TN area after many, many years of government service so we get over to Scott Co. occasionally. Going this weekend the the ROLLER family reunion (my grandmother-IBBIE Roller Dillion) and have two thing going over that way next month.
IF you need anything, picture, etc., please let me know. Just in the last couple of days I have been contacted by TYREE descendants so am kind of working on that. My great grandmother was Louisa TYREE Dillion.
I am F*A*G # 48546734 and as I am fairly new (approaching 2 years) am always open to suggestions, and corrections on the memorials I manage.

I think so. Was he born in Lancaster Co., PA and d. in KY?

I am mortified to find that I am somehow managing a duplicate site for this man, but the one you're managing was posted first. I'd delete "mine" except that it has a photo of the tombstone and links to family members,which your page doesn't have. Can you copy those to yours, giving credit to the poster of the photo, and let me know when it's done so I can delete the duplicate page?

You have done such a good job documenting this family. Do you have any citations for Nicholas Hedrick? Thanks.

Youre welcome! I thought it was cool that the first superintendent is buried in Lander.
|David Crawt||I'm trying to find a grave|
Hi Kat, I am trying to find the grave of my Grand Parents, John & Eliza Bowcock. I know that it is in the Donington Old Cemetery in Donington, Lincolshire. The problem is that I can't actually physically find it because it has been there so long and deteriorated. I want to find it so that I can scatter the ashes of my Mother on what is her parents grave. Are you able to help me with this?

Thanks so much! I'm going to put together a bio soon. Company at my home this week so it may take a bit, but I will get one added. I appreciate all the work you do for Find a Grave!
|Mary Tapia King||Thank you!|
Thank you so much for transferring management of my aunt's memorial to me. I love the generosity of people like you and most of the other members.
The members who irritate me are those who are not related to a memorial they created or manage, yet refuse to transfer to someone who is actually related--they claim to follow the find a grave "guidelines" where they only have to transfer if it's a direct line of descendants up to four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc.).
To me, this isn't a contest to see who has the most memorials. It's about honoring those who have passed on, and when ever a family member wants to manage a memorial I've created or presently manage, I am more than happy to transfer it to them.
Thank you again!! 🌹❤️

Happy to do that for you, Kat! And for Ray too!
