My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people. |
If you find any errors, want additional information or an obituary added, please send it through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.
If you are wanting a transfer please let me know your relationship; I don't follow the Find A Grave guidelines, but please let me know if it's a relative, close friend, classmate, etc. OR I will not transfer the memorial to you. If it is a relative of either my husbands or mine, I will also not transfer the memorial.
IF YOU REQUEST A TRANSFER, BE SURE YOU ARE COMMITTED TO A LIFETIME OF MAINTAINING THE MEMORIAL. UNFORTUNATELY A FEW OF MY OLDER TRANSFERS ARE MAINTAINED BY CONTRIBUTORS WHO NO LONGER RESPOND.
EDITS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE SOURCE.
A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.
Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.
My philosophy; "No One Should Be Forgotten".

You are most welcome! Happy to help!
I was also at Waggoneers UMC Cemetery in Carlisle this morning. No headstones found for Annie and Charles Cornman. My suspicion is that they either do not have a headstone and are laid to rest with their parents, or unfortunately, they could be one of the 20 plus stones that are so old the surface is practically flat and therefore impossible to determine what name was ever on the stone.
I live in Carlisle and hope I can help in fulfilling some of your other photo requests!
|Rodger Wolf||RE: Wolf family in PA|
My grandfather was born in New Kingston, Cumberland county. I visited the Longsdorf cemetery a few weeks ago when my cousins and I took our annual trip to PA. I am 99% convonced that the headstone with John, Mary, Annie, and Franklin Wolfe are my 2nd great grandparents and 2 of their 13 children. I was also convinced after viewing records at the Cumberland county Historical Society that the other John Wolf buried there is not related to us. I have the family moving back and forth from Dickinson twp and Annville, Lebanon county. To make matters worse, our surname used an e on the end in most cases until maybe our grandfather dropped it.

Thank you for the reminder. I get a few hundred of those auto edits every day. They keep me busy when I can get to them.

Thanks Peggy for everything.
|Joy Hammar||RE: Mary Cornman|
We just recently moved to this area, and have started attending church where the cemetery is located. I asked some people at the church today, and I'm hoping by next weekend, they can link me up with the people who know where the headstones are located. :)

Thanks! No email notice when an edit appears on your home page? Kinda scary. Go away on vacation and something could slip by and get automatically updated. VERY SCARY!
