Bio

I love to build family trees & help others with their own research. This site is valuable as such, thanks to it's creators & volunteers. If I've added anything to a memorial which should be changed or deleted, please let me know. If you'd like an obituary or article looked up in the Seattle Times archives or America's Geneaology Bank (part of NewsBank Inc.), I'm happy to do a quick search.

If you have a moment, please consider leaving flowers for my Grandma Marian who passed away June 28, 2014. Sincerest thanks for your consideration.

Dear Ancestor,
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

"If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.

But, here's another question, which
Requires another view,
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?"
